Rob Sims may have a torn pectoral muscle that would be a season-ending injury.

KJR-AM first reported the injury, which is believed to be a torn pectoral muscle. The team is not confirming or denying the injury, but it's believed the team is awaiting a confirmation of that diagnosis. If Sims has a torn pectoral muscle he likely would be placed on injured reserve today, thereby ending his season.

If Sims is out, Floyd Womack likely would be the first place the Seahawks look as a possible replacement at right guard. Behind him, Mansfield Wrotto would be a candidate as he's played that position all of training camp.

Right guard Rob Sims had surgery to repair the pectoral muscle he tore in Sunday's loss to the Bills.

Here's a statement from the team:
Seattle Seahawks Head Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Ed Khalfayan, performed successful surgery on Rob Sims today to repair a torn left pectoral muscle. Sims is expected to make a full recovery. Normal rehabilitation from this type of surgery is 4-6 months.
