The run defense was great up until that 56-yard scamper by Grant. I'm sure Grant won't be sniffing 100 yards the next time we meet, can't say the same for Rodgers though.

My main concern is Childress and the absence of his imagination. Playcalling was horrid, and on top of that, Tarvaris Jackson. This team has a lot to remedy and go over before going into Week 2 against a high-powered Indianapolis... it's almost as if we're stuck in the same hole we were last season, except we squandered away millions of dollars.

vikings played good enough to win, but they gave up more big plays to green bay to give them easy chances, when they weren't moving the ball all that great

our chances were there and we couldn't get it done

Is his playcalling always that bad? First half was mostly runs while second half was mostly passes. I have Peterson on my fantasy team, so I'm a little worried. They should pass to him more too.

A day later, I still pin the loss on the 3rd and 1 pass play. Run the ball there, I think the Vikes win.

I got to say. That was still a winnable game and regardless of our mishaps we were still in it. I think the Defense didn;t do it's job. Our job is to dominate and anything short of that is not getting it done. If the D was there we would have won. If Tavaris didn't throw that pick, we may have won. We drop way too many balls, when T-Jax does have a nice pass someone screws it up. Shianco bobbles it or something stupid like that happens.

If Berrian wouldn't have fallen to his knees on that one reception that would have been a TD. We played a mediocre game and still had a chance to win it so that's something look at. We have to open up the offense more though. Maybe Childless doesn't trust T-Jax to do that but man, the conservative stuff just doesn't win you games if other portions of the team are not playing up to par.

I think T-Jax will improve though. If that Berrian pass was a TD we would have a W and most people would be talking about how much Tavaris stepped up in the second half. To only have 6 yards in the first half and then get 172 in the second is a decent turnaround. What pisses me off the most is opening up the paper the next day and seeing Rogers owning our sports section. You thought he played here. And of course T-Jax was ripped in every paragraph.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.
