I'm falling in love with this kid. He can flat out hit and his versatility defensively at First, Third and Catcher makes him even more valuable to us in the future. Also for a big guy he runs the bases excellent with some nice quickness. I truly believe we developed a mini Prince Fielder here.
Sabean recently said he'll be starting some where next year which is good news considering his track record blocking young players.

Re: Pablo Sandoval
Im definitely excited about this kid. He's going to be something special. I question wither he will be a big homerun hitter but he reminds me of Bengie a little bit with his hitting but faster

Re: Pablo Sandoval
I didn't have huge expectations for him this year, but he's really impressed me so far. I'm looking forward to seeing how he'll do in a full season.

Re: Pablo Sandoval
Tonight Pablo hit a bomb off Jake Peavy to the deepest part of the yard in Petco Park. This kid's power is legit when you can own Peavy like that.
BTW he also played some nice D at third base.

Sandoval is the rare case of the Giants calling up a minor league player who's HOT...and not chilling him a month on the bench. He can be pretty good. Scherholtz probably has more chance to be a star.
The Giants don't yet have the infrastructure the A's have of scouting-development-crafty trades, but seem to finally be thinking about making use of the farm system rather than just collecting mid level veterans. The Giant's...unlike the A's,actually have a budget to work with.
CENSORED... No comment.
