Nice article on Leon. As could be expected he's working hard.

I think if Powe improves his outside game... he will be a force to reckon with...

LP already is a force :D , he would average a double-double if he were starting. BUt we're lucky enough to have him as our main back up big

It's pretty impossible to be a Celtics fan and not absolutely love Leon.

"I'm going to be ready and I'm not going to creep up on anybody," he said. "But, I'm going to have more stuff in my package. I'm already physical and that's where I want to stay at. But I also was putting a jumper in, I was putting off the dribble stuff in. So if you're going to guard me, you're going to have to guard me because I've been working real hard and I'm going to continue to work so I'll be ready for next season."

Anyone think Powe will get any more minutes than last year? Maybe rest Garnett a bit more and give Powe some extra time...like 25 minutes a game?

Posey's power forward minutes are up for grabs. Baby and Powe should be the main candidates for that extra time.

Yep, when KG was resting Leon was a fantasy boom last year down the stretch. In 7 games in april, 22.4 mpg, 13.7 points, and 6.7 rebounds. As a starter on the year, 5 total games - 26.2 mpg, 14.2 ppg, 6.8 rebounds.

Leon is pretty much a double double guy, if he played 36 minutes a night. His per 36 stats are 19.8 ppg, 10.1 rpg.

I'm not sure how long he can make his living at the line for, by intentionally drawing fouls, but it worked really well last season. I typed this out, but in my mind it still seems a little crazy to think that Powe could average 20 and 10, because of where that puts him amongst active players. His skill set doesn't really match any 20-10 player that I can think of, but the stats are there.

Who amongst 20-10 players reminds you of Powe? The only guy that I can think of is Amare, but that's not a very close match.
