Does this mean that Love will start right away?

I think we need to keep the Vet presence and start Madsen.

Realistically speaking, Collins only averaged one point last season and just over 2 rebounds per game, i don't care how little minutes he played in Memphis or how thin we are at centre he should not start or get any decent minutes unless we are VERY desperate for height. Especially after his little Jackass stunt.

...Johnny Knoxville would be proud.

Opportunity Knocks, will Love answer by starting on opening night?

Dammit. Now my prediction for starting 5 is screwed. I vote for starting Love right away but I know Wittman won't do it.

maybe its for the best, more Chris Richard, more Kevin Love....though I'd suspect Wittman will use this golden opportunity for more Jefferson/Gomes frontcourt action

I guess they get back on the phone to Chris Richard, and maybe up the $886,517 qualifying offer they made him? That doesn't scare me almost as much as seeing Booth or Madsen getting a lot of minutes at center!

I'm getting a visual of this and it's hilarious. Hope he recovers well though, hope he's not out too long.

My money would be on Smith starting next to Jefferson right away.

This.

TIme to contact Darko's agent. 7' center and odviously available due to trade rumors with NYK, but we'd likely need a 3rd team to help get them anything.

Richard - Not ready.
Madsen - Always ready, but not qualified.
Smith - Nope. Hardley qualfied for a backup.

There goes the season! I guess we're lottery bound, yet again. This is worse than the Terrell Brandon or Sam Cassell injuries.

With an attitude like that, then full danger of golf carts will never be exposed.

I'd start like this:

MIN OUT: Collins
MIN IN: Darko

NYK OUT: Malik Rose
NYK IN: Jason Collins

MEM OUT: Darko
MEM IN: Malik Rose

WHY FOR MIN? Takes on the Darko's two year deal to have a center
WHY FOR NYK? Saves $4 mil on the buy-out and lux
WHY FOR MEM? Still turning Darko into an expiring, and Malik can help their weakest position until Arthur's ready.

Does Darko have more value than an expiring at $6.8 mil in 2008, and $7.5 mil in 2009?
