Craig Smith Rumor

Post#1 » by Calinks » Sat Sep 13, 2008 2:28 am

This rumor is on the ESPN basketball page. Can't access it unless you are an insider though.

After signing a new two-year deal this summer, Craig Smith got injured. Is he going to be ready to start this season? Rumors

Hmm wonder what's up...

Old news. He had surgery the beginning of August to repair a meniscus tear in his right knee

They say start? Are they implying that Witman has given Criagers the green light to start?

This is what the full insider thing says:

New Wolves center Jason Collins is expected to miss eight weeks after undergoing surgery on a triceps tendon in his elbow on Monday in California.

He was injured in what a team spokesman called a "freak" accident that occured when his golf cart skidded on wet ground and tipped over.

Meanwhile, Craig Smith is supposed to be healthy enough to begin practicing with teammates starting on Monday. He underwent knee surgery Aug. 1 after injuring his knee in the one Las Vegas Summer League game he played after signing a new two-year, $4.8 million deal.

New forward Rodney Carney still is nursing a hamstring injury that caused him to miss the Vegas summer league games after the Wolves acquired him from Philadelphia. -- Minneapolis Star Tribune

Craig Smith isn't going anywhere. I think Shrink is filling your brain with all these crazy trade ideas that will NEVER happen.

Man, the rumor page, and the picture they used made this seem far more serious. Stupid ESPN. I'm surprised they even brought the wolves up.

If Smith isn't ready to go for the start of camp, Stephane Lasme will be invited to camp. Blake Ahearn is the only non-roster invite so far.
