Re: Brad Miller? Top 16 center in the NBA?
I think they have him slightly underrated due to a couple of sub-par, injury-impacted seasons. But he's not far off; somewhere in the top 15 is probably right. He should be above Big Z IMO.
What I question is them placing Bynum at #3 and Oden at #8. Neither have really proven anything in the NBA yet...especially Oden, who sat out his rookie season due to knee surgery. And Bynum is so far all "potential" with no resume.

This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

I say he's above Big Z. I agree with kinginexile, Oden has not proven a thing. I have to say though I might take Okur over miller.

Based on last year's performance this is how I would do it. Sheed and JO don't make 5 count for me, they're four's playing the 5 out of position. Bynum played in too few games to be adequately evaluated.

Kaman at 11 is just insane! Didn't anyone see what the guy was doing last year!!!??? Wow. Yeah, I think Brad is above Big Z, maybe above Bogut, certainly above Dalembert, I think he's above Horford too. Yeah Biedrens is pretty low IMO. But, it's hard to say. I think you have guys like Dwight and Yao, and then you have, well, the rest basically.
And I agree JO and Sheed shouldn't be on the list, but both probably will play a lot of C next year.

No, Big Z is better defender, rebounder, better low post player, just as good a passer/outside shooter, and he's perhaps one of the most underrated and maybe most underutilized skill players in the NBA....
Big Z is a better player in every aspect of the game except maybe passing...

The passing isn't close. Z isn't a bad passer, but Brad is one of the better passing centers ever.

Every aspect???!!! I think not
Brad runs the floor better and is generaly more mobile. Z has a better post game, but does not shoot the J as well and certainly is not near the passer Brad is. Check their stats for 07/08 and for their carreers. Z scores about a point more a game and blocks about 1/2 more shots a game. Brad has the edge in steals and assists. Rebounds are about even. Z is perhaps more of a pure center, while Brad is a C/PF.

Re: Brad Miller? Top 16 center in the NBA?
Z is a very good mid-range shooter. He may not be quite as good as Brad, but to say that he doesn't shoot the J is wrong.

You know whats wrong with that list? The Nuggets gave up the 5th best center in the association for nothing except the right to swap second round picks! How can that be?

Re: Brad Miller? Top 16 center in the NBA?
miller can only play and pass from the high post, playing in the low post isn't really "his game", big z has been proven to be a good passer out of the high post/low post, here is few examples....

the Kings often utilize the high post offense because they have two big men, Vlade Divac and brad miller, who can pass the ball and shoot from the outside, this system has not been utilized by other teams, so its not fair to compare Sabonis assist stats to vlade or Big Z assist stats to Miller, because these guys (Sabonis-Big z) they never had the chance to run an offense.

So you're saying that if Big Z or whoever is made to run the offense, they'll perform anywhere close to Brad or Vlade? KG doesn't run an offense but he still posts decent assist numbers for a big man. Why's that?

Re: Brad Miller? Top 16 center in the NBA?
KG doesn't run an offense but he still posts decent assist numbers for a big man. Why's that?
because hes a superstar, superstars often create double teams, KG is a clinic on passing out of double teams and finding the open man with the best shot, i guess his ability to frequently draw double teams has had a lot to do with it,
Superstars they suppose to make an impact and make things happen, i remember the lakers they relied on Shaq’s presence in the lane to draw double-teams...
So you're saying that if Big Z or whoever is made to run the offense, they'll perform anywhere close to Brad or Vlade?
First of all Vlade is in league of his own, as for Big Z and miller i just don't think its fair compare their stats, because they both have similar passing skills, ball handling, and court vision. but miller had the privilege to play in a well constructed offense, while big z did not....
yes brad is better passer, but the gap is not that big.
