Alando Tucker Adds 15lbs of Muscle

Post#1 » by asubennett » Wed Sep 17, 2008 7:17 pm

Are you guys excited that me may crack our rotation? I could see him being a microwave type player. Off the bench have one game a week from him where he scores 10 in 15 min kind of thing.

Reminds me a bit of Ced Ceballos with his ability to finish near the hoop off the glass.

It'd be nice if the man learned how to shoot.

True. But at least he'll be able to get to the hoop now like he did in college with that extra strength.

Good start. Now, maybe 15 lbs of talent?

Problem with Tucker is he is just to short for a forward. He needs to devolep an outside shot and be more of a combo 2/3. The guy has amazing athleticism and I also love his herky jerky post up moves. If only he was taller...

If he was taller I doubt he would've dropped to hte 30th pick. His post moves are quite advanced from what I've heard but because of his size, he won't be dominating anybody in the NBA.

^Seriously, WHERE is this amazing athleticism?!?!

I'm yet to see anything resembling a monster dunk or putback or alley oop...Louis Williams was a small time player but you still saw the odd DUNK or athletic move, Ricky Davis started out slow but had BIG athletic dunks, heck anyone remember Eddie Robinson (Bulls fans - apologies)? These guys played very limited mins out of the gate, but still stood out with their appearances in the top 10 weekly/nightly highlights.

I don't see this elite athleticism. Strength and a good post up game, definitely, but yeah his inability to shoot and/or handle the ball, will keep him out of the rotation I think.

Did you watch him against Portland (who played their starters to try and finish above .500 for their last game) on April 16th this year? Plenty of athleticism and good instincts around the hoop. I've watched him in Big Ten days when he played for Wisconsin too.
