If Snider sticks (I doubt it, but its possible), then we can blow our wad on a SS and a pitcher. Personally I've always liked Ben Sheets and think we should take a run at him. Of course it'd be on the assumption that he's only going to give us about 22 starts, but they'd be mostly quality ones

Ben Sheets never has a baseball sounding injury. He gets crap like a paper cut on his toe. How does that affect him playing baseball? Sorry for the crudeness, but that’s part of what makes it funny.

Dysentery
Clamidia
Athlete’s Foot

2002:
Bad Haircut (caused him to throw off-balance)
Halitosis
Loose, watery, and frequent stool

2003:
Jock itch
Paper cut to back of non-throwing hand
Fecal Incontinence

2004:
Chapped lips
Itchy anus (30 day DL)
Boner lasting longer than 4 hours

2005:
Hiccups
Bruised nuts after falling off exercise bike
Bit by chicken

2006:
Bad haircut (15 day DL)
Tummy ache

Blister on finger

I can never forgive Stairs for tip-toeing through the tulips instead of coming hard into home plate in that Sunday game vs. the Red Sox. I don't care if he was safe - he should have made it easy on the umpire.

He took about 10 steps in the last 6 feet before doing a limp wristed pop up slide. For god's sake the guy is 230 pounds!! That to me sums up the Jays season in a nutshell - there is enough talent there, but not enough commitment to winning. The bench players should be licking their chops and when they do get in the game, they ought to be playing at 150%.

Does anyone remember those dudes on the bench in 1992? Turner Ward, Derek Bell and Pat Tabler. They were hanging on every pitch. Kelly Gruber slid so hard into home plate in the 1992 world series that he nearly gave himself a concussion - and there wasn't even a play at the plate! That team was hungry to win - the 2008 Jays didn't want it badly enough in my opinion.
