Pre-Season rankings C and PF

Post#1 » by LLcoleJ » Thu Sep 18, 2008 8:33 pm

This is CBS sportsline -- so I dont put too much credibilty into it. But since its slwo around here and I believe we posted these last year, lets do it again.

Bynum at number 3--

3. Andrew Bynum, Los Angeles Lakers: After missing all the playoff fun last season, Bynum could either disrupt what the Lakers had or put them over the top. Now going into his fourth season (directly from high school), he has shown some enormous talent. His trick will be making it fit on a team that reached the NBA Finals without him.

Gasol at number 7--

7. Pau Gasol, L.A. Lakers: When Gasol came into the league, he was soft. Period. After years of getting beaten on in both the NBA and international play, Gasol began to fight back and grew into a tougher, feistier player. His performance in the NBA Finals made it obvious that he still needs to make more progress, but he's working on it.

probably not going to make any friends with this but it has to be said

bogut ahead of al horford???

actually i was going to say something about greg oden being in the top 10, and if we're going by performance i'm just as good a center as he is

Man I'm surprise the list has 20 spots because it ain't 20 good centers.

Yeah its an interesting list...

I recall Kwame was on the list last year... but that just speaks to the lack of quality bigmen in this league. I guess guys like Oden get hyped into the number 8 spot sight unseen. He should have a good season but there a few guys who have least put in the time. So we will see..

Al Horford is better than most C's on that list. This would be my list.

1- Dwight Howard
2- Yao Ming
3- Andrew Bynum
4- Marcus Camby
5- Chris Kaman
6- Tyson Chandler
7- Jermaine O'Neal
8- Al Horford
9- Rasheed Wallace
10- Emeka Okafor
11- Andrew Bogut
12- Samuel Dalembert
13- Zydrunas Ilgauskas
14- Mehmet Okurt
15- Andris Biedrins
16- Shaquille O'Neal
17- Kendrick Perkins
18- Brad Miller
19- Brendan Haywood
20- Eddy Curry

dwight howard is overrated all he does is jump really high. a team can stop him easily because he doesn't have a mindset to completely dominate everybody.

Good list but Bogut could be anywhere between 6-10 on that list and yeah he's better than Horford right now.

You know who carved up D12 & Bosh in the Olympics were Pau & Marc. It was the guards who bailed them out, Kobe specifically. A healthy Yao is the best Center in the L, but when was the last time he was healthy. Same with JO, those two could be top 2, JO is a top 5 blocker in the L if he ever gets healthy again. BTW Phil 2.0 if I don't get in your fantasy league I will hunt you down and fight you ;).

Man I wish we had Kaman so we could trade his ass. There seem to be a ton of GM's, experts, journalist that think Kaman is all world, all the sudden. It's bizarre.
