Greetings from a Blazer fan.
Would your team be interested in such a swap? I think it is good for both teams.

I wouldnt only because Joe P doesnt have a great contract and we would have to re-sign Outlaw.
I think its a decent offer that improves us, but your team is trying to shed salary. Meanwhile Boston is trying to royally screw you and I love it.

It's a good trade and that's why it wouldn't happen. The Jazz don't want to help the Blazers and the Blazers don't want to help the Jazz.

I would like, we will have two valious role player who would offer a good defense. Travis have a good mid range shot (develoved last year).
Altough I like AK, I would do it.

I would do this deal. I dont know if people realize how much of a burden AK's contract is to us. Its funny someone posted that article comparing 1998 to 2008 versions of the Jazz and I was thinking AK is outperforming BRuss, then I started to think ... hmm . . . we also pay him tens of millions more for like 2 mor pts a block and a few rebs and assts.

I would do this trade if I were Kevin O' Conner. Financially the Jazz need to get rid of AK. I for one love Andrei, I love the intangibles he brings and how he can impact a game on a single play. There aren't too many players in the league that have the skills AK47 does. HOWEVER, I think this team can move on without AK.
There's a few things that come to mind when I think of this trade with Portland. First off I don't think it will happen. Big name player usually don't get traded within the same division, sometimes even the conference. IF the Jazz pulled the trigger on this trade these are the immediate benefits I see coming from it.
1. $$$: We pay less for Pryzbilla and Outlaw combined than we do for AK right off the bat. I would eventually trade Joel's expiring when the time came depending on how the Koufus/ Fesenko experiment goes and Outlaw is good enough to replace Harpring while having CJ Miles show us why we spent 15 million on him. When Outlaws contract expires we can trade or re-sign but the trade gives us a lot of options.
2. An extra 4-8 wins. I'm not kidding this could propel us to the top of the league. What I love about Pryzbilla's game is his offensive rebounding and BLOCKS. He gets solid points on put backs and from getting fouled underneath the basket. He reminds me of a sure handed Greg Ostertag which I promise is a compliment. Plus we'd have that defensive presence in the middle to clog the lane and get 6 fouls the right way. As I'm typing this I'm loving the idea more and more. As far as Outlaw goes this kid is a stud. His mid range jumper is decent and I think him and CJ could make up for AK's offense.
3. Depth: Here's how I would organize it: (Starters in Bold)
PG: Deron Williams, Price/Knight
SG: Ronnie Brewer, Korver, Almond/Price
SF: CJ Miles/Outlaw, Harpring
PF: Carlos Boozer, Millsap, Okur
C: Memhet Okur, Pryzbilla, Fesenko/Kufous
We'd have the deepest bench in the league, and solid relief at every position. Our second unit could not only keep the lead, but increase it.
4. Defense: Yes some would say AK is our best defender, I happen to think he's our best help defender with Brewer being the best one on one guy. With Joel we have our shot blocking big man and Outlaw is a decent defensive wing player. I could see us being a top defensive team with our already freakishly good offensive game.
5. Development of our young players: I for one think that Sloan is a hall of fame coach but a pretty stubborn guy. I'm on the CJ Miles bandwagon and would love to see him and Almond get more playing time. With Harping a year older and AK off the team, the young players have a chance to contribute.
This will not happen though....makes both teams better and we're in a division race here people we don't trade guns with the competition....IMO.

Sloan would love Joel, he has no problem making everyone of those 6 fouls count.

I love Joel, when he's getting hammered by Millsap.
