**** that. That loss is on the bloody refs.
I STILL say playoffs. Especially if Orton plays like he did in the 2nd half more often.
We SHOULD be 3-0 right now.

Re: The Bears are who we thought they were
Hopefully Lovie Smith is gone by the end of the season. You need to get control of your team. 3rd and 10 on your own 7 and you get called for a dumbass penalty.

Having a game taken from you by the refs=/= choking.

The refs didn't make the Bears blow a 10 point lead with 3:00 left in the game. The refs didn't make the Bears blow a 17 point lead last week. The refs didn't make the Bears give up 30 points in the 4th quarter last year against the Lions. Sure the call was awful but the Bears blew this one well before that awful call. This is 100% on Lovie Smith and the coaching staff. Why put yourself in position to get that penalty called on you on 4th down on your own 6 yard line?

Well... at least Forte had his 3rd straight good game... he's the real deal.

Yeah, that should've been offsetting, a no-call, or on the Bucs unless Tillman was out and out raping the guy.
You just don't make that call at that point in the game if you're the ref. The choke is on the refs, not the Bears.

Re: The Bears are who we thought they were
Sooo many times where we could have had the lead and never looked back...
- Gould missed FG
- Vasher and Briggs missed INTs
- That stupid 3rd and 2 play on our last drive of regulation where Orton got hit big. Just run it, Forte was doing fine.
- The BS personal foul call on Tillman
- Rashied Davis big drop

I WILL say Rashied Davis choked, however.
His drop was huge. Would've been in FG position on his drop. Let's not forget this one.

So true. I thought the same thing. You don't make such a huge potential game changing play if you don't know the whole story.

Stick to baseball. It's the coaching staff's fault that the refs made a huge call against them? All defenses become conservative when they have a big lead in the 4th. Greise thrives in that but he won't make a huge play to kill you. The Bears were absolutely fine up until the refs decided to decide the game with a terrible call.

For the record, I don't blame Tillman. At all. Of course I wish he didn't do anything but he was defending a teammate that was getting punched in the face.

The Bears had a 10 point lead with 3:00 to go so they put themselves in this position. But the call was horrible and it did cost us the game. 2nd week in a row a team has lost because of the refs.

I'm sorry, did I miss Charles Tillman punching someone? The game-winning drive should have never happened but a selfish, stupid move won the game for the Bucs.

Wow. Terrible. I honestly just hope Griese's arm fall off...

Well, there was that intentional grounding and Griese was also hit like 10-15 times today(not to mention, made a ton of bad throws) The no-huddle kind of screws up the pass rush too.

Forte is on pace for over 2100 yards (rushing and receiving).

He was a steal. 3 straight with 110+ total yards.
I say he finishes the year with 1300 rushing yards, 400 receiving yards, and 10 total TDs.

There's no telling how the game would have turned out had that call not been made.
They had tons of chances to win the game prior to that.
Forte drops touchdown pass which is then picked off (poorly thrown ball, but Forte had it and just lost it).
Orton throws an interception right into the hands of a bucs player for a TD
Gould misses a FG.
Defense can't hold the lead.
Davis misses the wide open pass that hits him in the numbers that would have put them in FG range.
Bears drop a couple passes that could have been picked off.
I mean there were a lot of plays the Bears could have made and didn't that would have ended the game prior to it getting to the point in OT where the call was made. The call lost the game for the Bears, but there's no guarantee the lack of a call would have won the game for them. We don't know what would have happened next.
I don't think you can pin it on the refs really, Tillman was a moron for flying into the play after it was all over and escalating the fight.
