I went to elementary school right down the street, on the Grand concourse. I will miss Yankee stadium, I remember going to so many games.... Certainly the end of an era, and now it is time to usher in a new era.....

I've been to 3 (10, 13 and 17 years old) games at The Stadium, my grandpa has been to countless more.

Most of my memories of the place are from what I've seen on TV. The championships still feel like they were won yesterday, and the '01 series still makes me tear up with the thoughts of what happened.

I'll probably tear up tonight, as well, after the last pitch, and I'm not ashamed to admit that.

Any idea why Jeet was pulled with one out left? My roommate and I can't figure it out.

Something symbolic?

Just so he could get a round of applause.

I loved the chants of Mar-i-a-no. Well deserved for Mo.

It's a surreal moment that I will never forget. I am truly grateful I got to experience Yankee Stadium both in attendance and from TV. I made my first 2 trips only a few months ago (in a win over the Red Sox and another win over the Twins, maybe I should keep going and we keep winning lol).

I still can't believe it is the end. I don't want to believe it. This place is the greatest Stadium in baseball. Hands down. If there was a Hall of Fame for a sports stadium, this would be the 1st member.

RIP Yankee Stadium.

In future baseball games, they better have Yankee Stadium as an unlockable feature.

actually I grew up in the bronx, a little further south from the stadium, I had to travel to elementary school( went to a different school , close to yankee stadium, it was for those who excelled in their classwork, and this school was more of a challenge) anyway, I lived about 6 miles from the stadium(but in the city, 6 miles is a long way LOL) anyway, I grew up pretty close, I used to attend a lot of games, played baseball in the field right next to the stadium, it was a huge part of my life...

I attended 3 games that year in which guidry won like 24 games I think, anyway, I attended two of his wins, and it was electric. Although we are missing the playoffs, unless boston gets swept by the indians and we win the next 6 games.. LOL.. anyway, I am proud of the fans and this organization. Time to start a new era of winning in a new ball park. I am sure we are going to be back on top next year. this organization is true class and appreciates greatness and winning. I am proud to be a Yankee fan..

it was an emotional moment how such an iconic place won't be there. the opening ceremony was the best part of the day.

anyone here is going to get anything from yankee stadium?
