NEW ORLEANS - Chris Paul will be a Hornet for at least four more years after the 2009 season. The agent for the Hornets all-star guard tells ABC26-TV and NewOrleans.com Sports that he will be in New Orleans tomorrow to finalize Paul's new "max" deal with the team.

Glad to see they are looking to add significant veterans. Posey or Maggette would be a great help, but Corey would bring a dimension to the team that we don't have, improved ability to get to the line, and a perimeter threat that can create his own basket very well.

He scored 22 a game without anyone to really take pressure off of him, and he got to the line a **** load of times. One thing that really sticks out is that he shot 38.5%, I would expect to see that go up with Chris Paul and David West....

I would be ecstatic to get him for even the full MLE, I don't think you could get better value from it to be honest.

Hey guys, just wondering about Pargo, how he plays and how you think he would do in Denver? strenghts and weaknesses? apparantly denver is interested in him as our PG which confuses me because i always thought of him as a career backup..

He's a gunner, he can get hot as quick as anyone, and can create his own shot, and he's mostly effective with the ball in his hands. Not a great fit in Denver IMO.

CP went for the 3 year deal with a player option for the 4th. Which is pretty much understandable just in case they decide they don't want to continue putting winners around him. So as of now, he's a Hornet at least through the 2011-12 season. Now that that's taken care of, on to the free agents.

I think they gave that to Bogut based on what they think he possibly CAN do rather than based on what he's done in 3 seasons.

Or perhaps they feel since he's a big man picked #1 overall he should get paid that much.

Hopefully he finishes his career a Hornet!

Anyone think Sean Marks adds nothing to our team?

Can't we just wait and see? Who knows what playing with CP might do for Marks.

Sean Marks' presence on the court will make Chris Paul worth the max extension.

This was not only a great but also smart signing for you guys, Chris Paul is the best point guard in the league IMO, even better than Deron Williams. Great Job guys
