Re: Jazz Management completely lost
You guys do realize we did just draft a center that is very similar to Memo, ever cross your mind that we might be grooming Koufos to replace him? There are very few players out there like AK or Boozer, let alone get them. On the other hand, Memo is pretty much a PF playing C, and seeing Fesenko's improvement last year and adding Koufos, it has to be Memo that is gone.

Did anyone else read Deron's comments in the Desert News that the Jazz face the possibility of a mass departures at the end of the season. Deron agrees with Erudite 23 that it may be a good thing and we should let this play out. Apparently Deron believes that with everyone in a contract year and possibably playing their last year together they will give it their all. I would agree with this position if I thought they had the horses to win the championship this year. I just don't see it. LA, Portland, Houston, New orleans, SA (well maybe not SA) look extremely strong this year. Without the benefit of 20-20 hindsight, I'm going to say the Jazz should trade Boozer now. Sooner or later everyone else will come around to my way of thinking, it just usually takes everyone else a bit longer to see the writing on the wall.

After an informal team pick-up game Monday morning, several teammates — including Korver, C.J. Miles, Ronnie Brewer, Paul Millsap, Ronnie Price, Morris Almond and Jarron Collins

JC is one of those guys who's always at the gym who sets up in one spot and drills the same jump shot over and over when you forget about him.

Collins is our 12th player, has helped us many times (including a blowout winvs LAL without Boozer and Okur...) and cost tha Jazz 2 millios and coins.... why on earth people seems to always blast him whenever they have the shadow of a chance??? I don't understand it.
Anyway... we must be lost to call Jazz management completely lost... Jazz' crew's just no-nonsense, steady, buoyant, and, if you ask me, willing to take risks when necesary (people tends to take for a fact that Boozer and Okur were All Stars when Jazz signed them....)
What will we say if Fesenko or Koufos actually make a contribution this year, or if Miles take the next step and solidifies his game, or if Brewer get steady with his mid range jump shot, or if Kirilenko regains some of his old ways, or if Korver get plays for him to shoot at this year camp and make treys like a crazy man... any ONE ot these can take Utah to the next level.... are we going to call Jazz management the best ever then???

I don't understand the lack of faith in our management. We went from the Stockton years to the Williams years in like 5 years. That's damn impressive, we have a solid bench, young guys with potential, and a franchise PG. Does anyone honestly think that after getting all of that KOC and Larry H. are sitting around saying "Well, uh now what?" ?
Thank God I can see a Jazz game soon, I'm starting to sound my ex-wife when she tried to quit smoking.

Agreed, in fact the Jazz Brass has done a very good job from Sloan all the way up to Miller.
The Jazz have done a good job farming future coaches by bringing in Corbin as an assistant and Horny to help with AK.
KOC rebuilt a team that had only AK and Matt Harpring on it when John and Karl left, and have already had a trip to the WCF in 5 short years.
LHM has spent money when needed, and with the exception of AK has payed very good prices for the talent on the team.

Agreed. Sloan, KOC, and LHM have done an incredible job of rebuilding us after Stock's and Karl's devastating departures from the game.
