Mussina's 19th and Elimination Day

Post#1 » by cmaff051 » Wed Sep 24, 2008 2:00 am

The good news? Mike Mussina has just won his 19th game, with a chance to win 20 games for the first time in his career on Sunday.

The bad news? We were just eliminated, and will not have the opportunity to participate in October baseball for the first year since 1993.

This kinda weird. My whole life all I've known is when October rolls around, I am watching the Yankees fight in the playoffs. I was 3 the last time the Yankees weren't playing in October!

I can only imagine how the Final 4 feel (Pettitte, Jeet, Mo and Jorge) not playing in the postseason while in Pinstripes.
