The Wiretap says that the Nets are looking a bit at the Dribble Drive Motion offense.
Takes some pressure off of Harris in terms of creative playmaking by making a cyclical drive set that should favor iso players. I think Harris and Carter will probably do well in it... and with RJ gone, that means those two guys are going to be creating for shooters like Simmons.
It's an interesting tac, what do you guys think?

Re: So... AASAA Offense?
We've known for a few weeks about the nets planning on doing this. However, it's not gonna be our whole offense. Frank has already said they only plan on using a portion of this in the offense. I still feel we're gonna see a big amount of ISO (god help us) when the ball is in Vince's hands. I felt though that teams picked up on our one dimension and easily learned how to defend us since we haven't been a running team for a few years now. The key is to keep defenses on their toes. Learn 2-4 different sets very well and throw all of them at a defense early on. Then you break down what is working and exploit the hell out of it. We haven't done that in ages and feel that's why we're looking at this. Add that to the fact we NOW have a PG (and a back up) with a great first step and it's a no brainer to realize why we're incorporating this into our offense.
