Did anyone catch the Leafs and Pens game last night? I caught quite a bit of it. Here's some thoughts:
- Grabovski really reminds me of Berezin. He's quite flashy.
- Tlusty is going to be a star. He has shown improvements, and should get more of an opportunity this upcoming season under Wilson.
- Pogge looked shaky
- Mike Van Ryn is invisible
- Luke Schenn is going to be a star
- Mitchell should get a crack at a 4th line roster spot eventually, he impressed me last night.
- Kulemin looks reserved, but give him time. The kid can play. Hopefully he can shake the nerves.
- Everytime I watch Stralman play, I like him more and more.
Anyone have any other thoughts?

Re: Leafs/Pens preseaon tilt
A few things that caught my eye so far this preseason:
-Kulemin will NOT put up big numbers this year. However, you can tell he is willing to do the little things (dig in corners, forecheck, etc), which is good. It's early, but he just doesn't seem to have what it takes quite yet to generate his own offense.
-Anton Stralman is Kaberle v2.0... so smooth with the puck, poised, and a smart player. However unlike Kaberle, he loves to unload a cannon from the point on the PP.
-Jonas Frogren is tough as nails. He reminds me of Danny Markov.
-Tlusty's confidence seems to be through the roof. He's taking risks out there offensively and has already shown more flair than he did all of last season.
-Pogge is big and quick, but hasn't mastered positioning quite yet. It'll come with repetitions. I'm very impressed with his rebound control.
-If Colaiacovo can stay healthy, he may have a breakout year. He's looked very impressive so far.
-Mike Van Ryn has been as average as average can get.
-Grabovsky is either flashy and creative or non-existent. He also seems to be allergic to passing. Berezin part deux is a very good comparison.
