A) Ted Thompson drafted a DT in the first round. You don't think that he would've taken one of the stud WR's?

B) Ted Thompson's chat transcript today says...
(Do you see a trade with Randy Moss happening?)
I never discuss things like that, but it's a good question.

C) The Raiders just traded for Lions WR Mike Williams along with QB Josh McCown for a 4th round pick, which they will get back.

Put it together. Corey Williams and 4th Rounder for Moss come tomorrow.

Then why draft a boom or bust receiver in the 3rd round when we already have Jennings, Driver, and possibly Koren Robinson. I mean its possible Thompson is looking 3-4 years down the road but thats something you could address on the 2nd day. I don't know. I'm not going to believe anything until I see Randy Moss holding up a Green Bay jersey.

I don't understand the reason we drafted the WR we did.

Actually you have

Driver
Jennings

Ferguson
Martin
Robinson

and they have that WR they like they picked up from the Lions. The guys in BOLD are probably locks-I think they might let Fergy go. This guy isn't a lock to make the team. He can return punts, but ran a 4.5+. This guy sounds a lot like Cory Rogers.

Yeah it doesn't make sense to burn a third rounder is Moss is coming on board. Driver is a stud. Jennings is going to be very good. Moss would complete the trio. I think Ruvell Martin is also going to be very good. Koren Robinson is an unknown. There is just no way we needed to spend a third rounder on a WR if Moss is on the way.

Agree Martin would be a nice 4, and Robinson is a guy that will be a bonus (I don't think you can count 100% on him). When you read the reports on this guy it's hard to find what they liked -not a big WR, not fast, mental flag, and hands are inconsistent. I mean if you could have pulled the trigger on Moss by giving them this pick or the next one why be so stingy? That's why I am now thinking we don't get him.

THe latest gem from "the insider"

"I was online all day...and in a chat on another site ALL DAY. So no, I was not here and I really wa not there as much as they would have liked (I had to deal w/ the kids and the in-laws came over).

I have a browser that allows me to open lultiple windowns and FF is one that I leave open. That is why it always says I am here.

Sorry about the Moss thing. I was 90% sure it was getitng doen (because of who told me). But he also calle dme (which he NEVER does) and told me that TT did not want any more leaks out and if he found out who was doing it , they would be let go.

All he told me was something happend form last night and he could n't get into it. He did say if it don't happen is was not because of lack of effort on TT's end.

I have no new info...so I am just like every else now...waiting to see what happens.

Again, sorry."

Great move for the Pats. I'm admittedly very surprised that Davis came so far down from his first round asking price.

Fans are going to be outraged that Thompson didn't get in on this deal and offer up a higher fourth round pick, but while adding Moss to the Pats makes all the sense in the world, it would make no sense to bring him to GB.

It will be about 50-50 probably. There were alot of fans not high on the idea of bringing Moss to Green Bay. More people are mad about the 1st round pick probably. I think it was good, but one poll had 75% of people "not" liking it.

Up to this point I can honestly say that the Packers have not gotten any better this off season. Last year they added Woodson and Hawk. This season they added an oft-injured DT and that's about it. I'm not scared of your new RB, WR, or S. And Favre is just another year older.

Oft-injured? Time to back and actually do some research. Packers front 7 is becoming pretty damn nasty. Jenkins/Pickett/Harrell/Kampman and KGB coming in on 3rd downs where he'll be fresh. Speed to burn at LB with Hawk/Barnett/Poppinga. No one will be running on us. The only weakness in the starting D right now is Manuels spot, and who knows, Rouse could make a move there, or Blackmon can take one of the corner spots and we can move Woodson to safety. Packers D is in great shape.

Offensively, still some holes, but WR they have Driver/Jennings/Robinson and then these rookies will be in the mix. OL is young and improving, and we added another player there. RB is the one big weakness on O.

Didn't get better? How do you figure? They'll get better by the young players improving, we were the youngest roster in the NFL last year, and still won 8 games.

Bears still have Rex Grossman as their starting QB. LOL. As long as that is the case the Bears will scare me zero, zip, nada.

Return to Green Bay Packers
