I found this one on the bucks board. I have yet to figure out how the details work but come on. no way in hell Big Al is the worst defensive player in the league.

I'm surprised Amare didn't show up on his worst list.

Right now, Shad's tattoo basically sums the wolves up. Born to be hated. Dying to be loved. We sucked last year, we are a low market team, we traded away an NBA champion, and we traded away Mayo. We are going to get trashed day in and day out until we start winning.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Al>Amare in terms of defense, and no, blocks don't count in an argument factoring defense.

Al doesn't get lit up by every big man in the league like Amare did.

Bad sports writers will rip on a team they think no one will care about, and on a player nobody has researched enough info on to put up a counter argument.

4. Its somewhat understandable for player's who consume a great deal of playing time and who contribute a lot on the offensive end (ie Biedrens, Camby, Jefferson) to be on this list, but for bit players who suck on offense (ie Boone, Ivey, Rush, etc) to be on this list... that marks them out as serious liabilities.

He might get more shots this season but wasn't he the 4th or 5th option on the Warriors last year?

Oops, I guess I worded that wrong.

What I meant to say is that blocks can't be the only factor in this defense argument between Al and Amare.

So Amare getting more blocks than Al does not make him a better defender.

Al does a much better job on players like Duncan and Howard than Amare does. Amare has more lateral quickness and should be better against the pick and roll, but I haven't seen anything that makes me think he's been able to translate that quickness into tangible defensive success.

All I have to say is Minnesota sports teams are almost always underdogs. They never really give us credit. Even with KG I don't think we even got that much praise or media attention. They have to hate on us to put us down. We just need to use this for our benefit and to motivate our players in reaching there potential.

if we should win it all one day I'll remember all this underrating (read: hating) and it'll taste delicious!

It is always sweeter to be underrated and prove them wrong, rather than be hyped and crash.
