it isnt that bad, alabama should be over missouri in USA today, fresno state shouldnt even sniff top 25. you can pretty much interchange the teams between 9-14.

It could be argued that the Mountain West is as good, if not better, than the Pac-10 this season.

I find it funny that USC is still ahead of Georgia, but otherwise I'm content. Still in prime position to be where we want to be at the end of the year. I'd love a rematch with Bama in the Dome. I doubt they'd be quite as fortunate twice.

the scenario is bama loses to LSU on their side of the conference. then LSU meets up with georgia in the sec championship game, and then georgia kills the tigers. thats a good scenario.

georgia will get the regular ranking behind USC. either #2 in the title game. or #3 and the sugar bowl. thats a nice set up.

I prefer the USA Today poll on this one.

Penn State is a pretty weak #6 but I can buy they've accomplished more than BYU, TTU, and USF.

Interesting that Georgia loses to the new #2 (or #4) yet they fall below USC, which loses to a sub .500 team in an awful conference. Also interesting that Ohio State is still apparently penalized for missing their best player and not playing Pryor more in their loss to USC. Maybe Florida should be ranked higher because of all their injuries under that rationale...

Michigan State is no worse than the 20th best team in the country and they've got the front-runner for the Heisman in Javon Ringer. That should count for something.

I TOTALLY AGREE with the disrespect to OSU. that is a boatload of crap. they are, and should be ranked much higher. however, i believe that if they take care of their business one game at time. they will and should be the big10 champion. they could go to the rosebowl and roll up oregon state or someone. if we dont make it to the title game, give me an SEC team, and i guarandamntee, we will roll them up once again.

the fact that Wisconsin choked their game against Michigan didnt help us a bit, it dropped the SOS and instead of beating a top 7 team next week we ll be beating a top 20 team. i hope PSU holds up so that we could get some brownie points from that game.

still when its all said and done we ll be in 5-10 range, at worst.

hey, ic, do you know why OSU didnt recruit Javon Ringer? was it the lack of size? or because they already got Beanie?

Sorry I don't know. I really pay very little attention to recruiting.

You just want to give OSU props to prop up USC.

You lost to Oregon State, you shouldn't be in the title game unless everyone drops a game to a non-factor.

you need to read the posts after the SC/OSU game. no gloating. no bad mouthing. no trash talking. not even before the game was i talkin trash about OSU. so despite the attempt to speculate, there is no proof of me bad mouthing osu before the matchup or even after the matchup. you see, THE SHOW truly has a heart full of LOVE and JOY. not one of hatred and animosity. giving the LOVE and PROPS to other programs outside of the SEC is all good, because LAKESHOW is LOVE. the SEC however, is a conference overrated and full of itself and its ability. which we all know, when compared to USC, they are considered stepchildren. and even when we backhand and smack around the stepchildren, (arkansas/auburn come to mind), it is only a with LOVE.

now everyone knows this. our history. our record. our dealings with the likes from the SEC and their so-called speed(AHAHAHAHAHA), is one of dominance, and of course, THEY KNOW WHO WE BE. 70 pt blowouts has that bunch intimidated.

You may be on to something...too bad the BCS entitlement program would never let this happen since neither school fits the mold of what their corporate sponsors deem to be "worthy".
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

No one fears a team that plays in a conference full of weak teams... beat up on the princesses of the west, and then get spanked by the beavers, or the Stanford whatever the hell the mascot is.

Oh and it's not SEC speed that would be the issue, it's the defense. Why do you think Joe McKnight chose USC over his favorite college that was heavily recruiting him? He knew he could run wild in the Pac-0,

In all honesty though, I think the best thing that could ever happen to USC would be to play in the SEC. Beating up on all those sorry teams gets them full of themselves, and it keeps biting them in the ass.

and in the meanwhile . . . we keep slappin 70 and 50 pts on those teams. wheres the proof of their toughness vs. USC? remember, auburn was ranked #1 in the country at the time, and after waxing them on their own home turf, we whooped up on carlos rodgers, ronnie brown, cadillac williams . . . another weak SEC team at the time.
