Bye Week

Post#1 » by Sweezo » Sun Sep 28, 2008 9:26 pm

...and the Cardinals were absolutely plastered by the Jets, giving up 56 points (!!!) in the process. Meanwhile, the Niners received a similar treatment at the hands of the Saints, as O'Sullivan's pass protection broke down and he looked pretty shaky.

For as scary as the first two weeks of the season were, things are definitely looking up for the Seahawks. They're tied in the loss columns with the two division "leaders," and while some of their key players are getting healthy and preparing to return, their rivals are seeing injuries starting to mount themselves and lose some important pieces.

Half game out of first place. LOL This year is going to be about getting healthy, and trying to peak at the right time, as in end of the season heading into the playoffs. I still think that, barring more injuries, and not getting Engram and Branch back, we're still the favorites to win the division.

Well, once again we saw that the key to beating any offense led by Kurt Warner is sack him a few times. He becomes a bad decision maker and his timing suffers.

49ers- we knew they weren't for real yet. They might do enough to improve on a dismal last year, but they aren't competitors with us.

Rams- arrgg i was almost rooting for them this week. I'm wondering how many college teams would hand it to them, nevermind NFL teams.

any week we don't injure a receiver was a good one, but this was a really good one.

I was rooting for them, since Linehan's from my hometown and my family knows his family.

Well, you won't have to root for the Rams anymore, unfortunately. Linehand is reputedly a smart guy and a good guy, but he had lost the team completely.

I watched the Cards game and couldn't believe how horrible Warner was. Don't let those passing yardage stats fool you; the Jets let up defensively in the third quarter after the game had already gotten out of hand. When pressured in the first half, Warner was completely incompetent. I don't know why Whisenhunt didn't give Matt Leinart a chance. I can't believe this is the team that beat the team that beat the Seahawks.

Welcome to the NFC Worst. Maybe this will finally be the year a 7-9 team wins a division. I just hope the race will be as exciting as this year's Apple Cup will be.

Correct. It begs the question--

Exactly how big of a douchebag is Matt Leinart?

ouch... well. I'm guessing he'll get a handshake and a hot chick as his parting gift.
