Evridge is so predictable. He looks down the reciever he's going to throw to. Easy read for the coverage.

Why Hill continues to get the bulk of the carries baffles me. Clay and Brown both had better ypc today but only had 10 carries to Hill's 20+. I guess Bielema and company are satisfied with 2 or 3 yards per carry instead of the potential big play ability of Clay and Brown. At the very least make it 25% Clay, 35% Brown and 40% Hill. All you have to do is stack the box against Hill and our offense is shut down. That's fine for the cupcakes on the schedule but it doesn't work in conference play.

I hate to say it but I called it weeks ago about Evridge. I think he is the worst QB we have had in my memory. Not only does he stare down receivers, he doesn't really seem to read the field at all and he never seems to even be able to scan the field to check out second and 3rd receivers. When he does throw the ball, half the time he can't even throw a spiral. And his accuracy is atrocious and his ability to correctly lead a receiver is almost non existent. I honestly wonder how he is even a D1 QB. I have seen numerous high school QB's better than him. Sure we are a running school mostly but we have put a few QB's in the NFL so how can we not recruit at the QB position a better player than this guy. He also has no escapability what so ever and he doesn't even make good decisions. Like if nothing is there and the pocket is collapsing around you, why don't you get out of the pocket and throw it away? This is simple basic football and he doesn't get it. I honestly think if I was taller, I would be a better QB than this guy. I have a good arm and throw a tight spiral and I am fairly accurate. I just couldn't see over the line being that I am only 5'8".

Griese is obviously a Michigan homer but his observations on Evridge were spot on. The guy sucks. Let's see what Sherer has and if he's any good, we have him another two years.

I mean come on, Evridge couldn't beat out Tyler Donovan...
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Was at this one. My god we have obnoxious fans. I'm sure other teams are rowdy and obscene but our student section was just **** and we paid for it later. Michigan can be snooty and they are having a down year but we have basically no tradition and even in our recent success they have had just as much, just with higher standards making it seem disappointing. Yet we come in there and act like we have been stepping all over them for the existence of the big 10. Whatever, that's fanfare but our fans seem to be huge pricks.

Would have been the worst b-day weekend imaginable. Stopped on the way home to see the Packers fiasco but luckily watched the Braun homer save me from jumping off a cliff.

There are only 2 possibilities of why John Clay and Brown aren't seeing a ton more carries.
1. Bielema is an idiot.
2. He is afraid of fan reaction for benching the player people think is responsible for all the running success.

You can't give me some argument of being loyal to a guy to save face for future recruits wanting to play in the NFL because PJ Hill's NFL future will include being a tackling dummy on a practice squad.

If we had any semblance of a passing game or an explosive threat at wideout maybe you could go with your grinder most of the time. Problem is, we don't have that. Beckum, when healthy, is a great receiver but he isn't that home run hitter really. With basically admitting that you can only move the ball first down to first down in 3 play, 10 yard chunks because of no deep passing threat...you're going to put in a back that can't run the ball for more than 15 yards in a carry and is likely a 3-4 yard per carry guy on most of your runs?

I understand that Michigan looked pathetic early on but with the athletes they have at WR, they can take 15 desperation shots in the second half and only convert 2 of them and that is a huge success and a potential comeback. You're just asking for trouble when you try to sit on a 19-point lead for 30 minutes. You're bound to fumble or throw an INT that spurs momentum for them.

I guess it might be the best thing we can do seeing as we cannot recruit top tier talent, but I'm sick of this "play to be not too bad but not elite" thing with the UW football and basketball teams. I'm probably spoiled not watching all of the lean years, but we never have that talent to make one special run. This 100-year old offense thing has to stop. Hopefully the Curt Phillips regime starts next year and we spread teams out a bit with Clay being an all-purpose back.
