The Sox confirmed last night that Beckett sustained an oblique injury during a bullpen session following his last start.

Originally targeted to start Game 1 of the American League Division Series against the Angels, Beckett now is scheduled will start Game 3 on Sunday at Fenway Park. Lefty Jon Lester will now start Game 1 on Wednesday night, while Daisuke Matsuzaka will start Game 2 on Friday night.

if they don't finally beat the sox this yr, wow.

Which is why I'm rooting for the Doyyers. That would be the sickest thing ever if freeway world series happens.
