The home uni's look a lot like a very plain warriors jersey and the away uni's look like a very plain knicks jersey. Not all that unique if you ask me, but I guess it could be worse, and honestly I was expecting worse. I still think that they need to change the logo and colors, and I actually think it's a possibility once they are allowed to.

ugly jerseys. it wouldn't even be nice in the nbdl. the white looks like a mix of the knicks and warriors home jersey with ugly linings, but is okay though.

the away color is so plain, and oklahoma city looks like a sentence written on the jersey. they should've used dark grey for the away unis and just placed OKC.

Plain and ugly, give most people 10 min and they'll have something better cooked up in photoshop or paint.

Hey Thunder supporters, Im a TOR supporter. This is my first time here, so i'll congratulate all that live in Oklahoma on your franchise, and you deserve it after the Hornets semi-stint.

I'm sorry, but I can't believe that people would actually approve those jerseys for the NBA. Honestly, imo those have got to be one of the worst, just in its plainness alone. I think Oklahoma looks nice on the jersey, but can't say so much for Thunder. All-in-all, you guys got your candy, its just not for the eyes. So once again, congratulations and may the season bring yall great joy.

*EDIT* - didn't see the full pic of the jersey showin "Oklahoma City." I liked Oklahoma but the way City is put in there just looks unprofessional. Oklahoma being arckedand City being straight really aint all that appealin to the eye. Looking at them whole for the first time, i'd say they could prolly look good only if the writing of the name was stunning. Like maybe Oklahoma [arching up] above the number, and City [arching down] below the number. I don't know, I'm still in shock of these jerseys. The Sonic jerseys with updated color prolly woulda been better.

I'm a longtime Sonics fan and since I'm upset that the team was stolen from Seattle I could easily chirp in and trash the uniforms. But I've always been honest in this forum and I have to say that overall they aren't as bad as some are making them out to be.

Sure the writing and numbering should have been better and instead of it being so plain they should have found a unique and modern style of lettering that would have stood out. But while the colors themselves don't do a thing for me I think they did a nice job with the trim and kept it simple instead of being over the top.

The black gives the away jerseys a good touch. There's a few things to keep in mind before putting the uniforms down. If you look around the league alot of teams have a secondary logo that they keep very small where the V of the neck come to the bottom point. Over time my guess is that they will come up with that secondary logo and integrate it. It might take a year or two but so what. I see they kept the teams logo small at the bottom of the shorts. It is built in to the trim where it blends in too much rather than have the logo on the lower front where it would be more noticeable.

Kyle Weaver was the only player that showed the back of the uniforms in the pictures. I couldn't tell what was written across the top of the shorts but I think it says thunder. Overall in my opinion the road uniforms are nicer looking than the home ones. But I also share the opinion of alot of people that feel they are too close a copy of the Knicks uniforms. But they aren't bad and other than they should have made the lettering pop out by adding black pin striping to it as well they aren't a design that makes me put them down.

Over their 41 years the Sonics had many changes to their uniforms, some good, some not so good. OKC has decided to keep it simple for the first ones and even though I don't imagine too many fans outside of Oklahoma will buy them, I would bet money that over time they will tweak their uniforms design so this is just the first year and it's nothing to get worked up about.

Even though I'm not a OKC fan I bet the fans there are excited and would watch them if they wore potato sacks.

Downtown, I really appreciate the objective comments, despite pretty good reason to not be objective. I agree with you pretty much across the board.

Yeah, sorry, but those things are terrible. They need to just scrap the logo, colours, and uniforms and start over. First off, there are way too many colours there. Two or three colours is all you need, yet on these jerseys I see blue, orange, black, yellow, and maybe some red, I cant really tell. They are plain jane and boring. Put "OKC" on the jerseys, not the full, rather awkward looking Oklahoma City. Not only that, but there isnt a whole lot of continuity between the home and away jerseys. The "Thunder" is much bigger than the "Oklahoma City", which is another reason to just put "OKC" on there. Just awful all the way around. Seriously, they couldnt come up with something better?

My guess is that it's a league rule to have the complete name of the city and not abbreviated letters like OKC. The best thing probably would have been for the team to register its name as representing the state and left it as Oklahoma. Afterall, the Pacers are Indiana, not Indianapolis.

They are okay. Remind me a little of the Knicks jerseys.

Nothing over the top, but okay.

Not true, Philadelphia has a Phila jersey, Phoenix has PHX, probably more that I can't think of

Good catch. Didn't think of those. Well then, perhaps they should have left the "CITY" off instead of cramming it under Oklahoma. It would be interesting to hear why they decided that the word City was so important to clutter up the jersey.

I know from some talks with people that having the team represent Oklahoma City was key in wish for an NBA team. Something along the lines of wanting to show that OKC (and specifically OKC) was making a push to be more of a primetime city.

More like the old teal Vancouver Grizzlies jerseys from 8yrs ago. Both home and road jerseys are too original and don't draw excitement to me. go back to the drawing board and come up with some new material and colors. on the road jerseys, just leave Oklahoma on the jersey or just find a ay to make the Oklahoma City word design better than this standard writing.
