Kobe 'takes the heat' during Olympics

Post#1 » by ChocolateThundr » Tue Sep 30, 2008 11:11 pm

Per wiretap via OC Register

“Somebody throws us this question about playing overseas,” Bryant said. “I don’t want (LeBron James) to answer it. He’s a young kid; I don’t want him to take the controversial stuff. I said, ‘Well, if a team throws us $50 million, then we’ll all go.’ …

“It’s just something that was a joke for us, and people took it and ran with it or whatever. That’s fine. Everybody needs to banter about something.”

Maybe this is nothing big but this speaks volumes about Kobe's character IMO.

Kobe's just ****ing around. We all know that. Wherever he goes, he will demand big money. He will get equivalent value anywhere if you add in the endorsements. Money isn't what matters to him. I'll say the same to any other NBA player.

For Childress, it was because he wants PT and that's what he gets overseas. I mean...Smush Parker was MVP back in Europe...that tells you the quality over there.

Yeah, and Ricky Rubio will get his ass manhandled here in the US because he's such a skinny ass with no defense.
