The Orlando Magic and Denver Nuggets have come to terms on a trade

The Orlando Magic will send a 2010 First round pick

The Denver Nuggets will send Renaldo Balkman

Orlando will use their 2.3 Million Trade Exception via the Portland Trade to absorb Balkmans deal

2,300,000 TE > 1,369,920 thus giving denver a TE of

1,369,920

The Orlando Magic are thrilled to acquire SF-PF Renaldo Balkman. He brings much needed toughness to our front court and should eventually help our teams defense.

The Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic have also agreed to a trade

Orlando will send Brian Cook (3,500,000)

and a (Top 10 protected) 2009 First round pick

Phoenix will send Travis Outlaw (4,000,000)

Brian Cook was an attempt to quickly gives us depth in our front court. Unfortunately, it hasn't panned out as well as we would have like. Travis Outlaw gives us yet another option at SG-SF-PF and his athleticism and flexibility should allow him to thrive in our uptempo offense.

The Phoenix Suns accepts this deal. Outlaw is a promising swingman and could be part of Suns future line-up but we are in win now mode and Hedo is better option. This deal will also eliminate the redundancy in our SF rotation. We wish Travis the best of luck.

And again Robert Sarver saves some bucks as a result of this deal.

The LA Clippers and Dallas Mavericks have come to a trade agreement

Clippers trade:
Eric Gordon $2,623,200
Cuttino Mobley $8,925,000
Minnesota 2009 first round pick (with pre-existing protections)
Clippers 2012 second round pick
Total Outgoing: $11,548,200
Total Incoming: $12,129,480

J.J. Hickson $1,329,480
Mike Dunleavy $9,000,000
Antoine Wright $1,800,000
Cleveland 2010 first
Total Outgoing: $12,129,480
Total Incoming: $11,548,200

Salaries Work

Clippers Accept

We're sad to lose someone like Gordon and a leader like Cuttino, but we feel we're ready to move on and by bringing in Mike Dunleavy, we complete our starting rotation and with added depth become more capable and ready to be able to make the playoffs this year.

Mavericks accept this deal. The Minn pick should be a better asset than a CLE 2010. But more importantly this creates a monster backcourt of Derrick Rose and Eric Gordon which is a fantastic building spot. Mobley will be useful for the next couple of seasons, and his contract expires in time for 2010 free agency. We wish Dunleavy, Wright and Hickson well in their new squad, they look to be solid additions to a well structured team.

The Philadelphia 76ers and the Denver Nuggets have agreed to a trade.

The 76ers Trade:
Samuel Dalembert $11,238,564
Andre Miller $10,333,333
Total about 21,5 Mio

The Nuggets Trade:
Andris Biedrins $9,000,000
Linas Kleiza $1,824,493
Al Harrington $9,226,250
Total about 20 mio

The financial side works!

Why for the 76ers:
We are getting younger, we add some much needed 3pt shooting in Kleiza, who has proven he can score the basketball from everywhere on the court. We also love Biedrins potential, who we consider an upgrade to Daly, at this point AND towards the future. We are sad to lose A Miller and wish him the best of luck back in Denver!

San Antonio Spurs and Philadelphia 76ers have a blockbuster to announce!

SAS trades: Kurt Thomas, 2010 2nd round pick, Tony Parker.

15,750,00

PHI trades: Thaddeous Young, Roy Hibbert and Al Harrington

15,867,962

I accept this deal because even though Parker is still young (26), I get a superstar in the making (Thad Young) and another good young player in Roy Hibbert. Harrington is a nice trade tool as well. Now that I traded for Crittenton and Farmar, Parker was not needed, and by getting one great young player and one very good one, along with a good player/expiring, I felt I had to do it.

SAS accepts.

So how does that work when Harrington is not yet a member of Philly?

guys, if the trade hasn't been approved, don't trade a newly acquired player. it just confuses me :(

i apologize for the delay on some of these, sometimes i'm online but i have to wait for the 12 hour grace period and when it expires i'm not online.

Phoenix will send Travis Outlaw (4,000,000)

the veto against this trade argues that dumping cook's contract and trading a pick that is overly protected was not fair value for travis outlaw.

in their post, the suns argue that travis outlaw is a player for the future, while the suns are trying to win now. with hedo/hill/barnes, the suns have enough sf depth. cook steps into the 3rd string pf slot.

imo, the value is not egregious enough to warrant a veto. this trade saves the suns money, gives them a future asset, while balancing out the roster. they lose a very promising sf/pf, but the suns gm is clearly choosing experience above that.

cook has a smaller/same length contract as outlaw and i don't think an unprotected or simply top 5 protection is a gimme for outlawy.
trade approved.

The Detriot Pistons and Minnesota TWolves have agreed to a trade:

kwame/gadz/ridnour/afflalo

4,000,000 + 6,250,195 + 6,500,000 + 1,015,440 = $17,765,635

for

collins/cardinal/madsen/carney

6,200,000 + 6,200,000 + 2,630,000 + 1,655,760 = $16,785,760 x 1.25 + $100,000 = $21,082,200 > $17,765,635

Minny accepts. While we don't like taking on Gadz contract we believe Kwame adds some much needed depth and defense to our frontline.

With the acquisition of Ridnour, Telfair is on the block.
