sheed - threes, rebounds AND blocks, lots of blocks
okafor - can be pretty beastly with rebounding/blocks and he'll get an offensive game someday
dalembert - contrary to what the above guy thinks, his stats shouldn't drop--he was like 5th in the league in blocks last year, can score and rebound
okur - threes, doesn't rebound well for a big man
biedrins - nice rebounds and blocks, good percentages

biedrins is so overrated. what's the use of his fg% (his ft sucks) if he only takes 5 shots a game? sure he might hit 3/5, but what else does he bring besides a 14/10 game with almost 1.5 blocks? gimme okafor and dalembert with 2 blks over those number any day.

what? according to last year:

1) biedrins' FG% helps the team better than okafor's FG%
2) okafor pulls your teams FT% down single handedly, on the other hand biedrins doesn't cause that much harm
3) biedrins only turns it over 1 times per game, okafor does it twice
4) only cats okafor does have an edge over biedrins is 1 rpg 0.5 bpg and 3 ppg (1 rpg and 3ppg aren't significant)

so

biedrins >>>> okafor. easily. if okafor somehow increases his bpg to 2.6 again (like 2 years ago), then I might say okafor is better. but this year, there is no way I'm drafting okafor higher than biedrins

Sheed - for this season only - great all-round player, excusing FG%
Biedrins - under-rated rather than over-rated
Okur - can he keep up that second-half form from last season? If so, he tops the list.
Dalembert - should be 10/10/2
Okafor - FT% kills

Sheed for the 3's, reb's and blks
Okur for the 3's and FT%
Biedrins for blks, reb's
Dalembert for blks, reb's (I think he is going to lose some stats to Brand)
Okafor blks, reb's (injury concern, FT% sucks, not much upside)
I'm so tired of the typical......

Sheed really doesn't rebound the ball all that well, so I don't know what some of you guys are talking about. 6-7 rebounds is like a small forward. Okur actually rebounds a bit better despite the fact that he is more of an outside player than Sheed is.

No Sheed doesn't rebound the ball well for his position but you can't just discount them either. It's the combination of those 6-7 reb's, 1.2 stls per game, 1.7 blks and 1.5 3pt per game that sets him apart......

You don't discount anything in fantasy basketball anyways, but that's not the point. The point is that you don't draft Sheed for his rebounding...it's just not one of his perks. As you mentioned, you draft sheed for the fact that he is one of the few that can give you 1+ in 3s, stls and blks.

Well knowing my draft strategy is different than others, I don't draft Sheed for his rebounding but his all around game. I go after the best C's I can get in my first 6 picks. I'm getting Sheed in the beginning of the 4th round. Typically I will already have two other top reb's and Sheed fills out my 3rd C slot I like to have. So I'm not drafting him JUST for his rebounding but I know that he will not hurt my rebounding if I have to plug him in.

Who else will give you 3's, stls, blks and 7 reb's a game. The only players that can come close are Granger, Gay, Lebron, and perhaps Battier. So someone that can fill all those cat's and still get nearly 7 reb's a game I personally count his reb's as a plus.......
