Why couldn't we have swung a deal like that and gotten the offense a proven weapon. I like Rice and I haven't given up on Williamson yet (he's got one more season before I do that), but it would have been real nice to get the offense a proven 1,000 yard WR like Jackson, since both Rice and Williamson are unproven as NFL receivers.

yea, besides the fact that they hate us maybe? I really dont know. I would have made that trade no doubt.

I kinda like that we have young recievers with our young qb so they can grow together...

I'd be fine with having a few young receivers, but it takes a couple years for most receivers to adjust to the league, and I'd prefer we had at least one guy who'd established himself as a reliable target so that TJax had a safety net. I don't want his confidence and mechanics to get crushed by guys dropping balls or not being able to get open. We ended up getting a 3rd rounder for our late 4th though, so I'm happy with that.
