Hello Spurs fans,
I'm curious about your interest in Andres Nocioni, who shares the same nationality as Manu Ginobili and Fabricio Oberto. Regarding Ginobili's injury and Bowen's ability to defend both guard positions, would you be interested in a starting lineup of Parker-Bowen-Nocioni-Duncan-Thomas or Parker-Udoka-Bowen-Duncan-Thomas with Ginobili, Nocioni and Oberto coming off the bench? The acquisition of Nocioni would make up for the departure of Robert Horry and might even improve your already top-notch defense. Nocioni is a Popovich-type guy, who's tough-nosed and plays through injuries.
If there's interest, what would you be willing to trade for him?
Trade ID #4777904
Jacque Vaughn
cut:
1) Michael Finley
2) Darryl Watkins
3) Anthony Toliver
4) Devin Green
5) Desmon Farmer
2009 1st-round pick (top20 protected)?
for Nocioni
Please give me insight about your interest in him. Thanks and good luck for next season.

I personally don't like Nocioni contract and we don't have a 1st rounder this year... I would be interested in Thabo.

Re: Andres Nocioni
As a Bulls fan and a fan of Nocioni, I would actually be for trading Noch. I just feel that he is useful here in Chicago anymore. He needs to be on a championship contender where I think he will help out alot.
Over on the Bulls board there are a bunch of mixed feelings on trading him but most of us that are in favor of trading him would mostly want salary relief.
If im trading Noch I would rather trade him to a contender because he has been great for us and what is a better place to trade him to than San Antonio with Oberto and Ginobili.
It doesnt look like you guys have the necessary contracts to get Noch but with salary contracts aside would you guys be willing to trade Tiago Splitter for Noch. My guess is no because it looks like Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto are on their last legs but I would love that trade for my Bulls POV.

Re: Andres Nocioni
I would trade give up Splitter's rights for Nocioni.
even if the Bulls might get the better part in the long run. but Splitter won't be a Spur at least for the next 2 seasons, when help is needed most to once more win it all. then the window will close. he isn't a potential franchise player to build the team for the future around him, so I would sacrifice him. if the Bulls want to take the risk (he might never come over, thanks to the ridiculous late 1st round rookie scale), they might get a helpful player for the time when their team (especially Rose and Deng) peaks.
such a trade would likely happen after Dec. 15th, when the Spurs can include this years signings in a package and most likely at deadline.
maybe the Bulls will look for help in the shooting department and take Mason plus Bonner plus Splitter's rights? (plus cash plus 2nd rounder if necessary)
however, it won't be easy to get Nocioni with the few assets the Spurs have. if he is on the market, some other teams will likely just hand out better offers (a 1st round pick).
but if this trade materializes, the Spurs run for another ring will get a huge boost. the small ball line up of Tony-Manu-Bruce/Finley/Ime-Nocioni-Tim will be hard to defend for any team.
(maybe even super small like Tony-Salim/Hill-Manu-Nocioni-Tim)
