The Magic accept this deal. While we hate to lose our prospect PG in Rodriguez and spark off the bench in Barbosa, Rudy Fernandez was too good of a deal to pass up. We also love the thought of Steve Blake being the anchor for our young second unit. We wish Barbosa, Rodriguez all the best in Portland

My trade with the Magic can be approved now, correct?

And pending approval, the Blazers would like to pick up Luke Jackson (waived pg. 16).

Blazers trade/Magic receive:

Steve Blake $4,250,000
Rudy Fernandez $1,084,080
Sean Singletary $442,114

Total: $5,776,194

Magic trade/Blazers recieve:

Leandro Barbosa $6,100,000
Sergio Rodriguez $874,000
Houston's 2010 1st round pick

Total: $6,974,000

5,776,194 x 1.25 + 100,000 = 7,320,242
7,320,242 > 6,974,000

Blazers accept. It was really hard to give up Rudy, but we feel that Barbosa gives us a great sixth man to help spell Nash and Roy. We also get Rodriguez back, and the 1st round pick doens't hurt.

Trade approved

Still haven't seen this updated properly and adding email address to the roster page would be helpful as well.

This is not hard to do, get it done please.

Ya, that's weird b/c I remember when we made our 1st deal I had to make him post his salaries, and I think he eventually did. I just emailed him though, and hopefully he updates.

Golden State releases Anthony Morrow

Golden State and San Antonio have a trade

To Golden State:
Trevor Ariza $3,100,000
Jordan Farmar $1,080,000
Javaris Crittenton $1,381,560
Greg Buckner $4,015,000
2009 LA Lakers 1st-round pick
Total salaries - $9,531,560

To San Antonio:
Corey Maggette $8,275,862
Marcus Williams $1,262,520
Rob Kurz $442,114 non-guaranteed
Dion Dowell $442,114 non-guaranteed
Total salaries - $10,422,610

(9,531,560 * 1.25) + .1 = 11,914,450 > 10,422,610

Golden State accepts. We see Farmar as an up-and-coming star who will cover the point until Ellis returns; Ariza as a very strong backup wing; and Crittenton as a strong prospect. And we're glad to get back into the first round this year. Losing Maggette is tough, of course, but he does not fit well next to Anthony on the wing, so we move him for young talent and depth.

My bad. I was unaware of that rule. I was wondering why the trade had not been approved yet.

The reasoning behind this trade with Golden State was simple. I looked at it as an oppurtunity to add another legit 15 - 20 ppg scorer. I think Maggette will fit in well with my current team. It cost me some young talent in Farmar & Javaris but as a team looking to compete now I think it was worth it. I'm also recieving Marcus Williams in return to solidify the depth at backup PG.

Lets make it happen. I apologize for the delay.

Hey man... I noticed Matt Bonner is on both my roster and Atlantas. Did the previous GM trade him to ATL ? Id like to know because he could be used as a possible filler in my upcoming trades.

According to the Hawks transactions section...

"The Hawks traded for Matt Bonner in exchange for Jeremy Richardson, Darryl Watkins, Anthony Tolliver and an '11 2nd rounder."

make any cuts u need to, doesn't look like it'll be a tough choice :)

if u have any more doubts and no one is around to respond (thanks r0cd0gg), just go through the transaction thread page by page. i'm going to try to clean it up a bit right now to make it easier to go through the game's trade history.

That Bonner trade was never approved as it would have put the Spurs over the roster limit. KiddFresh, you should still have Bonner.

That trade shouldn't be vetoed because of one extra roster spot where a minimum player will have almost certainly been cut to make room. The trade should stay good, it was agreed upon by the Spurs G.M, so we should assume if he still were G.M'ing he would have made the necessary move to complete the transaction.

If it was never approved then that is the way it is, you know what they say about assuming.

well, lets let dcash determine what should be done here, no disrespect to the G'M's part of this, but he is suppose to be the commish, so dcash look that over and make a decision on that deal. I can get the Spurs G.M to come in and confirm his intentions, there's no assumptions here.
