There are no third All-Defensive Teams, just first and second.

Jermaine is never going to be healthy again, he's never going to return into a beast -- he has broken knees, which has ultimately limited his offensive game and defense. He's been reduced to a spot-up shooter with somewhat of a semblance of a face-up game. The back-to-the-basket offense that made him so effective is almost nonexistent now. In light of all this, the new version of JO is still much more offensively adept than the current Dalembert, and moreover, the better player.

And when JO is on the floor, he's still an absolute beast defensively. He really knows how to play post defense and is a great team defender.

And you're correct, there is first and second team and then the runner up vote getters.

And speaking about all-defensive teams, would be nice to see Iggy making it at SG. I think he can really be a beast at SG, where he has equal length, but more size and strength than most and with a lighter offensive load this year, he will have the ability to concentrate a bit more on the defensive end.

I know, I was saying that because you said:
Real bum that Jermaine O'Neal (he was second and third team all-defensive team in his career by the way, at no point did I say first team - and Dalembert hasn't come close to any all-defensive honors at last check).

I don't know if it was a typo, but I was just pointing that out.

Geiger: You're really starting to sound like RickyPryor or SendEM, you're just waiting for the player you personally hate. Then we have yet another perfect match. #1: Allen Iverson is 10X the player O'Neal ever was, ever will be. The difference between Iverson and O'Neal is that Iverson could easily be good for 11 pts within 2 to 3 minutes. O'Neal? I hardly doubt it. And as for being a better passer, this again is a mute point. Geiger, I want you to read these words accurately. "It doesn't matter what Dalembert does in terms of assists". Seriously, he's a center. Okay? Oh and O'Neal truly never was that better only averaging 2.5 APG once. O'Neal sucks in the area of passing, okay. The fact that he doesn't average 3 to 4 assists like a Elton or a KG show both that and the fact that he needs the ball for his 20 PPG.

If Jermaine O'Neal were not the defender he is, he would be amount to the same as a Zach Randolph. Jermaine is about 5 to 8 million overpaid for what he is or what he used to be. He could score, he could defend. But he was never your number one(20 PPG) type of option unless you wanted to commit playoff suicide.

Never was? The same Jermaine O'Neal that was damn near an MVP 5 years ago when he vaulted the Pacers into the ECFs? The same Jermaine O'Neal that was the backbone of the Pacers the last decade? Do not confuse the Jermaine O'Neal of the present of the Jermaine O'Neal in his prime and healthy.

Dedicated you are just as bad. You keep defending Dalembert to such an extent, and everyone disagrees, yet you keep pushing it.

Well the difference between O'Neal and Iverson is that O'Neal is capable of 10 rebounds and 2 blocks in a half. Iverson? I hardly doubt it.

See how ridiculous that point is?

You mean he's not worth the $20MM he's making this season? Shocker!

And if Dalembert were not the defender he is, he would be Rasho Nesterovic!
If Michael Jordan were not the offensive force he was, he would be Doug Christie! (lol...obv not comparing Jordan to anyone of this era, but the point remains)

See AD's post above. Not to mention the Raps aren't expecting him to be the #1 scorer on their team.
