Carolina at Tampa

Post#1 » by ohara » Thu Oct 9, 2008 9:58 pm

Good news! Looks like both starting Tackles are back this game! This will be a statement game and win will give us breathing room for 1st place in the NFC South. Wont be easy, but we are playing with a ton of confidence. The likely QB change will hurt Tampa, so I see a hard fought victory.

Panthers 27 Tampa 20 and we move to 5 - 1 !

I can see a hard-fought victory this week too, and am certainly hoping we win. Now, hopefuly I can get this game on TV...

Wow, were we ever embarrassed! Tampa showed up, and no one for Carolina showed up. We were soundly defeated on Offense, Defense and Special Teams. This was a statement game for us, and we laid down. They better get it together for next week because the Saints know they have to win ot they will be in big trouble. One of the teams will start to see the season slipping away, and I hope it isn't our Panthers.

I don't know what's worse: my current Caesar + overproof rum + red wine + liqueur hangover, or that result. That said, we're still the best team in the division, so there's no need to panic. A pissed-off Panthers team could make short work of the Saints. Another loss would worry me, but 5-2 is a nice record.
