trade deadlineup

Post#1 » by LBusiness » Thu Oct 9, 2008 11:46 pm

PG.M.Williams/D.Gibson Parker/Hill
SG.M.Redd/D.West 6th man Finely/Ginobili 6th man
SF.L.James/T.Kinsey/R.Dupree Duncan superstar
PF.B.Wallace/J.J.Hickson/D.Jackson
C.Z.Ilgauskus/A.Verajao/L.Wright

We finally get him, believe it or not he already wants out of Mil Chris Broussard told me him self.

Redd may demand a trade before the deadline. All he has to do is shoot, get to the stripe and play respectful D with in the system just like the Spurs guards do they have no one on one defenders exept Bruce, and we got Ben.

Regardless of him and Mo's issues they have played in the same backcourt together and LeBron and Coach Brown are the equalizers.

There is only one clear cut superstar and that is LeBron so Mike and Mo fall right into place.

Im pretty sure if Duncan and Pop was not in the picture Parker and Ginobili would some chemistry issues.

This team can easily win a championship.

Mo and Redd were a disaster in Milwaukee. Can't imagine that you'd think this would be a good idea here.

hey why not, i mean another team might have to be involved because i doubt the bucks will ship both their stars to a division rival in the same year. another 3 way deal would be a must so they could get another player. besides wally and im guessing eric snow and a pick

This aint milwaukee and Mike is from the "O"

LeBron will put both of them in check.

PG.M.Williams/D.Gibson
SG.M.Redd/D.West
SF.L.James/T.Kinsey/R.Dupree
PF.B.Wallace/J.Hickson/D.Jackson
C.Z.Ilgauskus/A.Verajao/L.Wright

I just love typing it.

if the only thing that makes this trade unrealistic is Mike and Mo in Milwaukee, then cosider this done.

The Bucks will suck and with there cheap ownership they will be trying to get out of Redd's contract. Desperate.........................

This wasFerry's plan the whole time, he Redd #1 but got Williams #2 cause there was no way the bucks were gonna give us Redd this summer.

So he settled for Mo cause we needed a point guard anyway and we went after both of these guys when they were free agents.

So when the bucks call with Redd on the table how do you turn that down.

He already has a relationship with LeBron,Mo and all of Ohio, they just won a gold medal together,I doubt that he or Mo allow anything to stand in the way of a ring, not on LeBron's watch.

The Bench bunch will get there minutes as these guys are cracking jokes on the bench while we blow out the other team.

We don't know what's really up with those two anyway, you know loosing can turn teammates against each other.

I think the window on Redd coming to Cleveland has closed. And I do know how much teams hate it when they make division rivals better.

So that means Wally,Pavs,1st for Redd? I mean if we were willing to do that we might as well go get Vince who actually plays decent defense and even though people think he is injury prone he has played in more games then Redd in the last 4 seasons.

Tale of the Tape:

Vince Carter
31 years old
4 yrs left (last year a team option)
played at least 76 games 4 straight seasons since traded from Tor to NJN
Last 2 seasons at least:
35% 3pt
6 rebs
5 asts
1 stl
20+ pts
(only player besides Lebron and Kobe to avg 20+pts/6reb/5 asts)

Michael Redd
29 years old
3 yrs left (last year a player option '10)
07 season career low 53 games
36.5% from 3pt last season
4 reb
3 ast (career high)
~ 1 stl
20 +pts

Conclusion
If Redd takes the player option it runs for three years like Vince's(if we terminate his team year). Redd gets paid more than Vince every season for less production. Plus Vince will cost us less(Wally straight up or with 2nd/ I'll add a first if they give us a young big like Boone or Williams). The way I see us taking Redd is if he has a decent agent who may be telling him to turn down the player option and ride the tail end of the 2010 free agency. Not every team is going to get Bosh, Wade, Bron, Amare, etc so they will have cap and may still not get their superstar but with a couple teams under the cap may have to overpay to get Redd. Cavs get their SG and their 2010 cap and if he works he can turn down the option, we sign Bron and another max player then resign Redd(I dont know if that is allowable under the agreement or new agreement that will come out) . That would be a perfect world

I don't want to see Mo and Redd in the same backcourt ever again.

i'm on this redd thing....how in the world can he play/learn d if he plays for the bucks???????????????
i don't really care about 2010 FA b/c redd is considered that superstar/star...i do agree that the mo/redd will work b/c this team will still revolve around lebron....this is our championship year & there is no time to turn down real offense....

but the thing that bugs me is that MIL is in our division & what would they want from us?
maybe snow(exp for 09)+west+09 1st+?

or wally+09 1st for redd

someone???

*i doubt ferry would give up av considering we need our big so you can most likely count av out of trades

why would Milwaukee give up Redd for nothing of value? It makes no sense to trade him to Cleveland, which doesn't even have any picks the Bucks would want. It's time to give up on this dream. If the Bucks want to move him, they can easily get at least one valuable asset for him.

also, Chris Broussard is as stupid as he is ugly. Tell him that for me next time you see him.

No way Bucks deal straight up with Cleveland in a Redd deal. You have nothing we want. Why do you think a third team had to get involved just so you guys could get Mo Williams?
Plus do you really want Redd and Mo in your back court, you might as well grab Charlie Villanuava from us too while you're at it so you can surround Lebron with the worst defensive players possible.

Let me make sure that I understand the logic here.

Redd will be so bummed about playing for a defensive minded coach that will not let him shoot whenever he wants, that he will prefer to be traded to a team with a defensive minded coach that will not let him shoot whenever he wants?

If Ferry is able to get Redd for a bunch of bench pieces, then he should be NBA Exec of the Year.

Milwaukee tried to trade Redd all summer and could not find a team willing to get comparable value in return. The Cavs had their chance and went for Mo Williams. Redd is obviously still available, but the Cavs have to up their offer.

No need for Redd.. The Cavs were able to rescue the one Milwaukee Buck that actually fits, and provides this team with what they need..

We don't need Michael Redd.. In fact, his style of play may not fit here anymore.. He's going to be 30 years old, doesn't play much defense, and either isolates or spots up.. He's not a real "heady"/high IQ player, and seems to focus his entire game based on himself... You rarely see him drive and setup someone (which is the biggest difference between him and Ray Allen), or make the extra pass along the perimeter... In short, he's not a winning player, and perhaps not a player you can ultimately win a championship with...

Time to focus the attention on obtaining more front court depth now.. Even if it isn't a star player, we need to add a guy or two that can provide us some spot minutes, and be able to produce... Say, like, Joe Smith...

Gawd I already miss Joe.... :-?
