I actually like the Kedrick comparison (athletically speaking) because Kedrick like Walker was BUILT. Gerald Green had good hops but was very slight. There wasn't alot of POWER to his dunks. Kedrick on rare occasions would just elevate and THROW IT DOWN. And you were like WTF Kedrick why don't you do that more often?! One difference though is that (and you can tell I was a pretty big Kedrick fan - sad to say) is that Kedrick seemed uncomfortable with palming the ball. This seriously limited his dunk artistry.

Kedrick actually had some excellent preseason games - but only really managed ONE good NBA game (vs. Jersey)..

Walker really seems to have his head on straight and he has that PPesque hunger that you really need to succeed. I can't believe SOME posters thought he was destined for Europe. <g> Its going to be tough for him to beat out TA though. Maybe he can earn some burn at the 3 spot. I think there he has to compete with Miles (who has a ton more length) and savvy at this point.

...actually, the TEAM wanted him to go overseas right when they drafted him...it was Walker's hard-work and dedication over the summer that changed their opinion of how much he could contribute and how quickly...I don't know if anybody wanted Bill Walker to go overseas, but it was certainly an option that was in-play following the draft...

He looks pretty good so far, but the final story isn't told yet. Someone is going to lose a spot, Walker needs to contribute in order to offset the loss of someone, potentially Pruitt or Davis. If we lose Pruitt so Walker can play in the Dev League instead of Europe, it'll look like a questionable move next year when we're needing to buy Pruitts replacement from Free Agency (with Cassell coaching).

The only thing Walker and Brown have in common is that they both can sky.

I can't help but wonder what playing Obie ball did to Brown. It was a pretty bad system for a rookie with his skill set to come into.

Bill Walker is a lot more aggressive and confident. Different players, but Walker sort of reminds me of Powe, not Kedrick.

Due to knee injuries, they both slid in the draft until Danny nabbed them
Not very tall for their positions, so both use their strength to score and rebound in the paint
Killer instinct, both are very confident and do not back down

Kedrick never had the killer instinct.

He does remind me of Kendrick, only I see more potential for Walker. On a side note, Walker needs to grow his Cheeto hair back.

The main difference is that Brown was a pussy and avoiding contact. He had no heart, was lazy and stayed behind the 3 point line in the corner.

From what I have heard about Walker is that he is a hard worker has confidence in this game and doesn't back down from anyone. Bill Walker also attacks the rim. If he can stay healthy, Walker should be a great pick up for us.

Also factoring for Bill Walker is his condor like wingspan and huge hands, this along with his exceptional body strength enables him to finish around the rim with authority.
