I'd have to disagree with your standings for sure. I'd have em like this:

New Orleans
Lakers
Utah
Houston
Portland
Phoenix
Dallas
San Antonio

Boston
Philly
Cleveland
Detriot
Orlando
Toronto
Atlanta
Miami

Cleveland goes back to Finals from the East, and New Orleans take's Lakers in 6. I won't say who wins the championship just yet :)

There is no way NYK makes playoffs over ATL and WAS. NO FRICKING WAY.

Atlanta reaching the playoffs last year was a fluke.
They didn't even get near 50% season wins and only made in the postseason cuz the rest of the east sucked donkeyballs.
This year the upper east teams got stronger and ATL lost a major piece in Childress.

I already did the west predictions in the other thread, so here goes for the east :

1 - Boston
(Slightly less dominant then last year after losing Posey, but still tops. Rajon Rondo's improvement will offset Ray Ray's decline. PP/KG will still be sick)

2 - Orlando
(Dwight's stepped it up big every season so far, and he's gonna do it again this year. The Pietrus addition gives em much needed wing defense/slashing. JJ Redick will step up as well, and maybe Jameer too.)

3 - Detroit (Their core getting old makes em go down 1 notch)

4 - Philly (Elton Brand, nuff said)

5 - Cavs
(Mo Williams may prove to be a nice addition, but if Big Z's injury trouble resurfaces with his age, LBJ can only take em so far)

6 - Raptors
(They don't need TJ Ford with Calderon around. Their offseason trade will look real good so long as JO stays healthy. Team gets slightly better, but since the rest of the east improved they only get 6th seed

7 - Heat
(After their tank job last season, they're gonna bounce back with a healthy Wade/Marion, and with the Beasley addition)

8 - Bulls (Disapointing season last year after an impressive run in 2006-2007. Rose will help em get back into the postseason and make up for Hinrich's mental breakdown, and Deng will bounce back)

Wash misses out due to injury trouble.

.... This is only speaking to the rankings going into the playoffs.

That being said, with a full training camp and pre-season under their belts, it's hard not to favor the Suns over the Spurs this year.

This is like a broken record..until we beat them in a playoff series they'll always have the wood on us
