3rd Pre-Season GM Suns Vs Nuggets Outdoors

Suns Vs Nuggets @ Indian Wells, CA

Weather Forecast: High of 79° / Winds from the Northwest @ 16MPH / 10% chance of rain

7:10pm PDT Saturday on TNT

The first NBA game to be played outdoors in the US. Last game played outside was in 1972 in Puerto Rico which featured the Suns taking on the Bucks.

This will be a "Home" game for the Suns and will feature an authentic NBA court.

I'm wondering how big of an impact the wind will be on 3-balls and if we will see a lot of missed jumpshots. I would imagin we will see the teams going inside and driving to the hoop for closer shots. This should be pretty cool.

They'll probably postpone the game if it starts to rain, but how cool would it be if it starts to drizzle a bit and they keep on playing...

I think you'll probably be in luck; since it's nationally televised I'm sure someone will find a stream pretty quickly

I bet the players are excited for this one. After hundreds of the same-old, it must be nice to have a change of scenery!

Even a light wind will screw with the long-range jumpers.

Anyone see Majerle on Pros vs. Joes? He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn, said later the wind had a pretty big impact.... and I am inclined to agree with my childhood hero.

That being said, and this will sound crazy, an inside game would actaully favor PHX in this one. Haha!

That would be terrible. The last thing this team needs is for someone to slip and fall because of the rain and ending up hurting their knee or ankle.

Is STAT going to play? Any date for his return??

In terms of firepower, with Barbs and STAT missing, DEN has a good advantage over us if Melo plays. However if we can truly utilize Porter's defense schemes we should be able to hold them enough to beat them.

Nene and Martin should be a good test for Robin Lopez. I just hope Robin doesnt foul-out after playing 10 minutes. :oops:

Oh that stinks. I thought the Suns picked to play the Nuggets because of those two...

I finally get to watch a Suns game after that horrible series against the Spurs. This is going to be an exciting experiment, if it rains a little, nothing better then watching muscular guys in jerseys wet fighting for the ball.

I should of put this in green font, shouldnt I?

amare has been cleared to train etc but needs to get his cardio and understanding of the system up before playing
