Keeper League Draft...Draft Complete!!!

The draft will officially get underway at 8am PST on Saturday 10/11. Rules for the draft are the same as last year:

*Draft hours are between 8am and 11pm PST.
*There is a 6-hour time limit for picks to be announced during the draft hours (if the last pick was made at 10pm, the 6-hour clock stops at 11pm and restarts at 8am). If it is after the draft hours and it is your turn to pick, feel free to post your pick; the clock will start for the next person at 8am.
*If the clock runs out on you then your pick will be automatically made as the best available player based on Yahoo’s O-rank. You will have the option to replace an assigned pick with any available FA once the draft is complete without having the move count against your waiver limit.
*if you think you will not be around when your pick comes up then e-mail your ranked pick choices to me (let me know that it is your pick in the title so I don’t open it until it’s time) or you can send your pick to someone else you think will be impartial.
*Any trades negotiated during the draft will not be processed until after the draft is complete. The preference would be for the trade concepts to be agreed upon during the draft then use the trade function in Yahoo to process the trade.
*We MUST finish the draft by 10/26 so everything can be entered before the season starts.

This pick is hard for me because the guy I wanted (Jamison) is gone. There are a couple "safe" picks out there but nothing sexy.

I like the Andre Miller pick, I really do. Although I think you could have let it slide some...but since you're on the end, maybe not...nice pick. However, i have to be honest. Not a fan of Lamar Odom at ALL...but I can see the value there. Well done dorkus.

Just a suggestion, but I was thinking one way to maybe 'help' expedite the draft with the 'lag time' is to after making our pick, the person picking shoots an e-mail from the league web page to the next drafter in order to notify them they made their pick and state who it was of course. And that way an email notifies them they can go ahead and check the draft results. I have an iphone and it's more cumbersome to check the RGM page than it is my email and I thought others might be in a similar situation.

So for instance after Bibbinator picks he could email ICMTM and let him know who he's chosen.

So we'd post it once in this thread then go to the yahoo! league page and shoot an email to the next drafter.

Is that a good idea?

I'm not sure if it's really necessary or would really speed things up all that much. It's only been 12 hours and we already have the first round in the books. Compared to some of our past drafts, this is lightning fast. If we can keep a pace of 1 round per day, we will finish with a week left before the season starts.

Others should weigh in on this as well...I'm just saying that I don't see it as a necessary.
