Matty C

Post#1 » by Felton for Pres » Sat Oct 11, 2008 11:42 am

I was thinking this before I read Bonnell's article today, but I think Matty is gone. I am pretty sure we talked about Matt for Reggie Evans before, but I don't remember what the consensus was. I know ATL needs some outside shooting too, but not sure they have anyone that would fit the bill.

I could go either way with this. I really think Brown is trying to get the most out of Shannon Brown and Matt pretty much is what he is, but Reggie would really help.

I'm starting to think Shawne Williams would've even helped.

I was thinkin this before I read Bonnell's article today, but I think Felton is gone. I am pretty sure we talked about Ray for David Lee before, but I don't remember what the consensus was. I know NYK needs somebody to take shots and miss at the rim, but they already have a ton of guys like that.

Come on FfP. Preseason! Bonnell! We're probably going to find a sneaky clause that lets us add years to MC's deal now. Hammer gets slept on as a strict shooter type because of that gaudy % from downtown, but his game is more developed than that. He's not a finisher or anything, but before last year he was so effective because he's a high bbiq guy that recognizes when he has a defensive mismatch. When he gets a slower player or a big switching to him he drives the ball and gets to the ft stripe, where again he is so money. I expect he's going to be an LB favorite, especially once he's in the starting lineup after Crash's next concussion.

Sean May: I've really been cutting the pounds lately! I can't believe it!! Ever since my dealer got busted I haven't had the munchies constantly, so I've been takin it easy on the partially hydrogenated oils!! It's like I'm a new man, somebody Super Size May(TM)!

Shawne Williams: I can help.

I meant as a active body type. I don't know though.

Either way I think this will be a long season.

Dudley is an active body with limited athleticism. Shannon Brown is an athletic body with limited in game skills. I can't help but think we have our Shawne Williams bases covered.

I don't think we need Shawne Williams. But I have no problem with him here if he would bea part of a bigger trade (depends on the trade).

It wasn't so much Shawne Williams, it was more anything for just about nothing. I guess I misspoke.

seems like bonnell is on a crusade to get carroll or ammo traded before the start of the season. but, based on last nights game, its started to look like a real possibility.

I'd hate to see Matt or Adam go, but at the same time, I hated to let Fabio go last yr. I thought he was a more valuable sharp shooter than either Matt or Adam - jest set him up from the corner 3 and let him fire away. But, I digress.

We have a major hole at the PF position, so someone has to be traded. We cannot go into the season with what we have at PF - May, Davidson and Ajinca are all back up quality right now. We lack both Offense and Defense from the PF and will suffer the consequences big time this season unless we act to shore up the position. Dont wait until 1/3 of the season is gone. Other teams will know how bad we suck at the PF slot and hold us up for a king's ransom. We just have to make the best deal possible for a quality starting PF.

Hopefully it gets done. Because right now, I see us looking at the cellar of the Division as a very real possibility if we dont act to fill the void. And we have talent in the other areas to make the playoffs if we only shore up the PF void.
