The Badgers of WI vs. The Nittany Lions of Penn State.

Look at that, Clay seems to have gotten the start. Hopefully he gets most of the carries too. I see suck ass Evridge is still the starter though. :nonono:

Clay is special, Hill is too slow to hit the hole.

Looks like the Packers aren't the only team with punting problems.

Allen Evridge is tantamount to how Hellen Keller would be at quarterback. That DE was chasing him for like 6 seconds and at no point did he see or hear him. I've got three words for him: USE YOUR PERIPHERALS.

I really can't stand robotically relying on P.J. Hill just because they have a phobia that John Clay will screw up. Cross that bridge when we come to it....and we're in no position to play not to lose. John Clay is the superior back and it's irrational conservatism not to continue playing him until he proves as ineffective as P.J.

This is a veritable must win game for Bucky....anybody who says otherwise is an enemy combatant of the team and needs to be thrown in a cell in the U.P. without trial....if we lose we're going to be hearing all week how we're the team who lost to the team who lost to Toledo and there will be no way to redeem ourselves until next season really. This is our last marquee game of the year.

this is embarrassing...you can't win in todays college football with a terrible QB and the run, run, run mentality.

This team is embarrassing. 38-7 in the 3rd.

48-7 loss at Camp Randall. Wow. Can't remember a beating this bad at home happening before. 3-3 and 0-3 in the conference. Rock bottom is here.

Sadly I can remember a game close to this bad. The only game I ever took my Mom to we got killed by Indiana 63 - 32. That year we finished 5-7.

You know now that I think about it. I think a lot of our problems now are very similar to that 2001 year. I remember following that season Alvarez started making a concerted effort to increase the speed of the team and improve the talent of the skill positions. Sure Evridge sucks but we have no talent at the WR position either. Our best receivers are our TE's and we really have no wide outs who are threats. We also have a secondary that is absolute crap compared to what it has been in the past. Of course when I think about it, the talent of our linemen on both sides of the ball is nothing special either. It just seems like the overall talent level of the team is garbage right now. We have to start doing better on the recruiting front. Of course most of the guys getting playing time now were recruited 3-5 years ago so it's hard to know how we will be in the next few years. I thought we had a decent recruiting year last year but I am sure most of those guys are red shirted or sitting on the end of the bench at this point.

Hey Bernman and whoever else is a recruiting junkie, what do you think about the last two years of recruits? Next year, we should start seeing that group of players get some real playing time and I hope we have some talent there. I know T.J. Williams was amazing when he played at Bradford for example and I would have to think that kid could do something in the next few years at the WR position and Toon seems to have the measurables and definitely the pedigree to become a good one possibly.

I'm not a big UW football junkie anymore, but I never was sold on Bielema. Things are starting to turn ugly at the moment. It will be interesting to see if the team re-groups and finishes strong or totally collapses.
