B-Diddy shows some love to his new teammates

Post#1 » by mkwest » Sat Oct 11, 2008 9:08 am

What's up YB... I KNOW it's been a minute but your boy Boom is back in the yard with updates!!!

First off... I'm so excited to be back in LA. The Clippers have a brand new training facility here and now it's my second home... actually my first home. Been working hard in training camp and everyone's slowly coming together. Feeling good about this team - a great group of guys.

Chris Kaman is funny as hell!!! How does this guy not have his own reality show...? Seriously, I'm gonna follow him around with my camera after practice and call it "Life On Mars." I want royalties if they go with that name tho... LOL. Good to be back with my boy Ricky D, who I started the NBA with back in Charlotte. And I'm back with JHart who I grew up playing against in LA. We were the two top pgs in high school and now we're on the LA Clippers together (Watcha know about those Cali PGs!!!). The team has sooo much personality it's scary. Last night was just our first preseason game, and I am already looking forward to opening night.

We call our fans the Clipper Nation out here, and I'm tryin to find the best of the best. If you think you're the biggest Clipper Fan OUT THERE, then record a video proving why you are the biggest Clipper Fan and come compete!!! I'm gonna pick the winner from all the entries and hook em up with two tickets to see us play at Staples Center this season. Who's it gonna be?

Biggest Clipper Fan Intro & Rules

Ok, so a few weeks ago, I'm shooting a commercial with Chris Bosh and some other NBA guys for ESPN. Bosh and I start talking about who is funnier, him or me. Of course he got pub from that All-Star video he filmed last season when he was the car salesman. He called me out cause I'm from LA and I'm supposed to "know Hollywood," whatever that means. So we decided to settle it online with a friendly competition: who can create the funniest web video - me or Bosh. I'll let y'all know when that's coming out. We're letting the viewers decide who wins so I'm definitely gonna holler at you for votes...

PEACE YA'LL

Sounds like Baron is in good spirits going into 08/09.

Thanks, mkw.
I really enjoyed this.
I can't get enough of these expressions of warm feelings and positive connections in the locker room.
Good stuff!

Having a positive vocal team leader in Baron, will hopefully bring the team together and make them ready for the season. It was cool seeing Baron chatting it up with Eric Gordon while they were on the bench during the preseason game against the lakers.

Boom is the man! Here's hoping the LA Connect Gang (BD + J-Hart) will wreak havoc for the rest of the league!

I feel the same way. In the game against the Lakers, all the bench players stayed standing until we scored first basket. If you look the Baron to Thornton dunk, everyone on the bench stood up to support their team after the big play. If everybody is happy/supportive of each other then the sky is the limit. It'll be a lot easier to produce if everyone is having fun. It's a real nice change for us.

Thanks for the read. Good to hear that B Diddy's already got some buddies on the team. I guess it won't take too much time for the team to gel. Can't wait til regular season, since they don't seem to televise too many pre-season games.

That was great.

Kaman getting his own reality TV show, now that would be funny.
