Lions @ Vikings Week 6 Noon

Post#1 » by hermes » Sun Oct 12, 2008 3:53 pm

Good chance for the Vikes to get on track offensively

Need to establish Taylor and Peterson early and often, and just run'em all game- Lions allow 180 rushing yards a game!
Need to keep Gus upright and alive

figure out special teams, and defense sut them down

Win and get back to .500

GO VIKINGS

You're being too kind. We're almost three months into the season including the preseason, and this team hasn't shown an ounce of improvement.

The right side of our offensive line might be the worst in football. I started keeping an eye on Cook in the second quarter, and I'll bet he blew as many assignments as he completed. It's no wonder we can't spring Peterson or protect Frerotte.

Plus, that interference call we got on the last drive was ridiculous. It wasn't even close. If you're going to call that, you might as well outlaw contact altogether.

i know i'm being to kind, the only thing we have going for us right now is the refs are on our side

and the Oline needs to improve or Gus won't make the rest of the season and Tavaris will be back
i don't have any idea how to get the run game going, or how to score in the red zone

mistakes are absolutely killing this team, those have to be addressed
and Rudi was running all over in the 2nd half
at least we played the Lions any other team and thats a loss

this team needs to get its act together and fast

One thing -- I watched the game at the bar with no sound. Were the "Fire Childress" as loud as the game accounts indicate?

i had the sound on the TV turned down and was listening to Vikings radio, and i only heard boos, and they didn't mention any "Fire Childress" chants, so i don't know

I don't like these kind of wins, they help people gloss over the fact that the team blows as much as they do.

Seems like the offensive line has taken about 3 steps back from last season. That 2006 2nd round in the draft was a killer: Griffin, Cook, and TJ. Marcus McNeil and Hester would be a dream come true right about now...oh well.

I don't think so, people are practically rioting in the streets. Everyone is calling for Childress's head.
Without these two wins, the Vikings season would be over. Now we at least get to watch some meaningful games for a few more weeks, as painful as they might be.

btw, Hermes, the proper Socratic quote is "I know what i do not know" He is speaking of the fact that he understands his mind is limited and he does not know everything. The translation has been twisted to make a joke.

I am in metaphysics right now.
