Terrible, terrible coaching in this game all the way through.

Had no business winning, but just for kicks and giggles, they probably could have tried to hold on to the win with 6 SECONDS LEFT.

What a steaming turd of a loss. Didn't see most of the game, but caught the end and thought we had it.

My only thought is that if Mike Brown hadn't knocked the ATL receiver out of bounds, would it have burned off that last second on the clock?

That's not a bad point. I would imagine Jenkins would be heading out of bounds anyways, who knows how much time would be left.

Just when you think you've seen it all.

Whoever made the decision on the short kick should hand over his resignation. Why not try a touchback?

The squib kick wasn't a bad decision. It's the defense that blew it.

We didn´t deserve to win this game, but YOU CAN´T LOSE THIS WAY.

Jenkins momentum was carrying him out of bounds anyway. It wouldn't have effected the time.

The Bears shouldn't have squibbed.

Then after they did, there were only 2 types of plays that could hurt them, a 30 yard sideline route or a TD. How do you have Brown playing off Jenkins on the side line route?

Well really I wouldn't say we had no business winning. Atlanta missed an easy field goal but the Bears also ended up going scoreless when they were at the 1 yard line and Harris fumbling after the fumbling recovery basically directly led to Atlanta getting 6 points...that's not even counting the amount of luck it takes to score a FG with 6 seconds left.

Somehow I can't get too mad at this one. Yeah, I was excited when Orton hit Davis - it looked like career defining play. Even then it felt like we were stealing a game we had no right winning - it felt like we weren't the better team (unlike the Panthers and Bucs games). I'll live. Let's spank the Vikes next week.

The coaching staff deserves all the blame...it was horrible horrible decisions made by them. How in the world do you kick it short to the 40 yard line when you only have a FG lead. I'm not sure if it was Robbie Gould's execution that was the problem? It was like they were trying an onside kick.

They also weren't in prevent D on that final play. They had Briggs out in the flat....the Bears were playing scared on both of these plays. It was absolutely moronic....I do not like these 2008 Chicago Bears.

I really thought we should have gone for the FG on 4th and goal from the 1. And on 3rd and 1 we should have given it to Forte. I know we ran with him on 4th down... but if you're going to run it twice just give it to Forte twice...

I didn't like the squib quick right away.

I have been defending our pass defense, but it was just pitiful this game. A lot has to do with Tillman/Vasher out of course, but still. 0 sacks again? Making a rookie QB look friggin ridiculous? Stupid, just stupid.

I'm with you on the lack of a pass rush. I spied Tommie Harris' '91' jersey out there but he didn't make a dent. I don't recall Ryan being on the turf other than once or twice - and that was only after he made a completion. Time to rescue Dan Bazuin from his current job @ Wendy's ?

Yeah, so far this year I think the defense has just been sub-par, even with Tillman and Vasher playing. For once, our offense has been what is keeping us in the game. We've been in just about every game *without* the defense and *without* Hester returning for TDs.

Yes it was a terrible decision.

You only squib it when the team doesn't have enough time to get a play afterward.

You don't totally take arguably the best Kickoff coverage team in the NFL totally out of the equation just because of one fluke long run.

Horrible, Horrible coaching.

That's not excusing the defense for the awful game they played, but as a coaching staff you have to have faith in your players.
