Injuries continue to pile up.

This time it could be devastating. Ryan PIckett has a triceps injury and has an MRI scheduled for today. Jolly and Cole looked good yesterday and Harrell is scheduled to return today, but Pickett is easily the best big body on that line.

Hopefully Addai is limited next week, he did leave yesterday's game with a hamstring injury.

If Pickett is out for an extended period, we are indeed screwed.

I know it seems like a week-to-week thing for Atari but anyone have any more precise info? I would assume he would have to be ready after the bye week but it would be awesome to have him back for the Colts game. Collins has looked great out there, Bigby had looked solid. That would be very nice to have.

I would guess anyone with injuries like Bigby would be held out until after the bye, but you never know.

There is a decent chance we have every single starter on the field minus Jenkins when we return from the bye. Depends on what kind of condition Harris is in. We just need to find a way to pull out the Colts game, and I would like our position.

Have you heard something new on Harris? I know the talked about him possibly coming back this season but I always just thought that was lip service.

Yes:

Cornerback Al Harris underwent a scan of his spleen today and there was "significant improvement," McCarthy said. "Obviously, we're moving in the right direction." The test results will be passed on to several specialists to be examined. He said it would be realistic for Harris to be back after the bye week.

There hasn't been any real updates in a couple weeks. Here is the latest:

http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/200 ... is-update/

As of 2:00 pm PST I have received information from the 3rd and 4th opinion doctors regarding Al Harris’ internal injury he suffered last Sunday.

Simply put, all opinions and analysis of the spleen trauma have come back with consistent results. There is a laceration of the Spleen which, at this point, will not require surgery. The course of action is rest to promote healing. Al will have additional CT scans taken again in a few weeks. No other time lines have been, nor will be set until after the scans have been evaluated. Therefore, we are in a “wait and see’ mode as to how well Al heals over the next few weeks.

He definitely doesn't need surgery, but that also doesn't mean he's definitely going to play either. The good news, so far, is that Tramon doesn't seem to be a big downgrade at all at starter, it just makes our depth worse when we need to go to 3, 4, 5 DB's.

But the Titan game after the bye is 11/2. Harris was injuried on 09/21. That would be 6 weeks since the injury. I would guess if he can't come back by then, chances are slim that he does.

That's awesome. Glad to see he wasn't more seriously hurt and that we might have him back sooner rather than later.
