Pistons - Spurs - Boston have agreed to a blockbuster deal...

Detroit: Bogut/Beasley/Swift/Madsen/2012 1st/Toronto 09 2nd for Bynum/Odom/Bonner
Celtics: KG for Bogut/Beasley/Swift/Madsen/2012 1st
Spurs Bynum/Odom/Bonner for KG/Toronto 09 2nd

Lamar = $14,148,596 + Bynum = $2,769,300 + Bonner = $2,978,000
Total = $19,895,896 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $24,969,870 > $24,751,934

Bogut = $6,294,307 + Beasley = $4,314,960 + Swift = $3,579,131 + Madsen = $2,630,000
Total = $16,818,398 x 1.25 + 100,000 = $21,122,997.5 > $19,895,896

KG = $24,751,934 > 16,818,398

Detroit upgrades their center position but loses out on the superstar potential of Beasley. This deal should make the Pistons slightly worse which is a good thing IMO as it almost assures us of keeping our 1st rounder until the protection runs out in 2011. Lamar Odom will also make nice trade bait for even more youth.

Detroit accepts

Bonner shouldn't be included in any trades until there's an official ruling by the commish on it..

Boston Celtics accepts.

We are sad to let KG go as he dominated the front court for us, but getting young, talented and athletic players like Beasley and Bogut gives us a chance to grow and plan accordingly for the future. As we are in a rebuilding process, additions like Beasley and Bogut gives us that young front core that we were really looking for.

The San Antonio Spurs Accept.

I thought it was foolish that the previous Spurs GM traded Tim Duncan. Andrew Bynum is a nice building block for the future but I feel that swapping him for KG gives the Spurs another legitament shot at winning another title. Lamar Odom doesnt seem like a good fit to me at PF nor do I think he would fit with this current team.

PG: Parker
SG: Ginobli
C: Oberto
SF: Maggette
PF: Garnett

Two thoughts:
One, if the trade wasn't completed by the old SAS GM, then it shouldn't be complete.

That said, until there's a clarification on it, Bonner shouldn't be able to be moved.

No worries if dcash says SA owns him then the deal is on, if he says Atlanta owns him then we have to deal with it at that time.

But, it was agreed upon and salaries worked, and it wasn't veto worthy, just a fair trade. Why should I be penalized for a roster cut the Spurs G.M forgot to make before relinquishing his duties?

I think it's about principle.. the trade wasn't approved. You shouldn't update your roster before hand. If the gm leaves and gets replaced, then you can propose the same deal to the new gm.

Yeah, let me go ahead and make him that same offer while he has Bonner in some other monster 3 way trade netting him back Kevin Garnett. That '11 2nd rounder could break the deal.

Matt Bonner is the 5th big on my depth chart, so I'm not worried, it's just disappointing that a minor hang up like this one would derail a good and fair trade. I'll update my roster as soon as dcash makes his ruling.

looks like LBJ4MVP23 followed the rules perfectly when rejecting the trade due to roster size. random never got around to cutting a player and it was never approved.

really hate that something so simple had to derail that trade but its the simple stuff that gm's can easily avoid. hope all parties involved can still enjoy the game and continue to play.

I didnt know bynum was involved in this trade otherwise id rather go for Bynum then Beasley and Bogut. No offence to you pistons but if it was going to be a three way then you should have told me. I accpeted the deal and just to see how the salaries worked out, i looked at spurs part of the deal and Bynum was there. So I got a offer from Clippers as well and I offered a deal to spurs.

Also, if dcash can put that deal on hold for a while.

calderon, i'm not seeing the trade u r referring to. did houston gm have it posted in the post that he edited?

kiddfresh, i haven't been keeping up with the cuts/signings since it doesn't need my approval. if they should be on the roster and they weren't cut by the previous gm and added by anyone else, go ahead and add them. again, use this thread to go back and check the spurs gm's posts.

Bad juju

I even asked you via email if you were now trying to put together a deal with the Spurs and you replied "don't worry". I did all the work putting this deal together and then posted it. You posted your acceptance(as did SA)... and then renig?
:noway:

Obviously you have all the leverage since you never made your roster cuts, thereby allowing the deal to be rejected offhand by the commish.

I'll tell you what. I will just make it easy on all of us and take this deal off the table as well then as I don't enjoy being held hostage.

Appreciate that.

I've looked through the threads and on every single roster and do not see either player. Therefore I will add them and make the proper cuts. *Edit* I just found them on the Grizz roster.

And as far as the 3 team deal with SA, BOS, & DET... the whole thing is just a mess now. You gotta make the call on that one. If it happens it happens if it doesnt it doesnt. Its no big deal. It wont be hard for me to line up another trade. Think it through.
