Mike Sherman Drafts

Post#1 » by PkrsBcksGphsMqt » Mon Apr 30, 2007 12:42 am

It is absolutely stunning to go back and look at Sherman's drafts while he was the GM here, pretty sure it was 2001-2004. With the exception of the year we got Walker and Kampman, we essentially got nothing out of those drafts. It is easy to see how we fell so fast under sherman, we weren't accumulating any talent through the draft at all. I know there are a lot of TT haters out there but he is easily doing a better job then Sherman in my opinion. It seemed like Sherman couldn't get any of his picks to stick on the roster more then a year or two.

What about B.J. Sander? Great pick that was and getting him in the 3rd round was a steal.

We talked about this quite a bit on the Bucks board. His drafts were truly dismal.

Worst GM in the league.....I think a monkey throwing darts would have drafted more NFL caliber players than Sherm did.....

I don't regret losing the Super Bowl to Denver as much as I regret Ron Wolf retiring. After the 2000 season, he had this team loaded with great young players who hadn't matured just yet.......all we needed were a couple more Wolf drafts and we would have gone back to the Super Bowl.....but we got Sherm.....so as Wolf's picks started to blossom (Clifton, Tauscher, Driver, etc.) we weren't adding anyone to the mix.
