Telfair out 2 games

Post#1 » by Vindicater » Mon Oct 13, 2008 6:52 am

Automatic suspension from the NBA for somthing that hapened in Boston in 2007. The case has only just been completed so Bassy will get the minimum 2 games suspension.

Not the greatest way or him to start the season, but nothing to be too stressed over as Telfair has been a model citizen for us.

He has done nothing wrong here. I think Minnesota is the perfect fit for Sebastian.

2007? This must be it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sebastian_Telfair

Telfair and a friend, Al Eden Fuentes,[9] were arrested early on April 20, 2007 and charged with felony possession of a weapon, after a traffic stop.[10] The traffic stop was prompted when Telfair was spotted driving his 2006 Range Rover 77 mph on the Bronx River Parkway, a 45 mph zone. Telfair was driving under a suspended Florida license. When the police searched Telfair's vehicle, a loaded .45 caliber handgun was found under the passenger's seat. Both Telfair and Eden claimed to not have any knowledge of the handgun. Police have yet to determine the registration status of the handgun.

On April 24, 2007 Celtics managing partner Wyc Grousbeck announced that Telfair's nameplate on his Celtics locker had been removed and did not expect him back for the 2007-08 season

I don't think we should forget that the kid has had a troubled past and made a lot of bad choices, and it wasn't like Danny Ainge was trying to give us an asset by including him in the KG trade. I thought of him exclusively as filler, and expected absolutely nothing from the guy. However, I'm glad he was given a second chance, because I think he has matured. It seems to me that he's kept his nose clean, and he has been a valuable member of the Timberwolves. I was actually happy that the front office brought him back (on a nice low contract), and I don't think Glen Taylor would have kept him if they hadn't seen him grow up.

I suppose this guarantees Ahearn or Ollie are on the final roster. Foye can't play 48 minutes of PG.

It was awhile ago, but as stated, the case just got finished so now its time to pay for his sins as they say.

Im not worried, as i said before, he has been a model citizen.

Sebastian respectfully disagrees.

Glad to see you guys like him. That movie about his life was sad. Think of how many beggars and hangers on the kid has. Older people who are supposed be mature and know feeding him crap information. That was a sad movie.

I don't think carrying a gun would make you a cancer regardless.

So what does that make our PG rotation for the first three games?

Foye/Ollie?
