20 million a yr and the guy can't find a free throw teacher ??? Bottom line is....it will be a strategy used against phnx until the Big Mason can hit 65-70% from the stripe.

Which ... will.... be.... ahem....never....

He didn't outwardly disrespect any one but the Spurs. There is nothing wrong with a little harsh critizism from time to time, Shaq being in the league for this long, knows that.

His awful FT shooting singlehandedly killed our offensive rhythm. Yes it's low, but blame no one but yourself because you can't make FTs.

And I hope he remember it's suppose to be his job to keep Duncan away from the basket. He couldn't. Boris is the guy who played the best defense on Duncan, not Shaq.

 We knew Shaq had his problems with his F.T when he was in college, then in Orlando, LA, Miami, and now Phoneix, his career is almost done and over with, NOW you want him to learn?
This guy never cared about his F.Ts since he was a dominating force in the paint and now he's not so yes, when you average out his P.T and his ppg average, and the minutes he will take away from the rotation, then is he really worth 20 mil a year?
I think you guy will do just fine with him though, as long as he can contribute in other area like cleaning up the boards on offense and defense, and with his presense in the paint, then he will have a great contribution to your team.

I don't know where you get that I want him to learn FTs. All I hope from him is stay in shape, be a good teammate/leader, grab boards, challenge shots, and retire after his contract is up.

I never said YOU DID in general, I think you missed my point when I said NOW you want him to learn .......
He never learned how to shoot freethrows, and that was his biggest problem since college, and thats why he left LSU cause everybody knew he couldnt shoot F.T and he never did improve on his weekest part of his game, SO when I said NOW you want him to learn, I was addressing it as its something he has been aware of most of career he never addressed it and he never will.
But like I said I think you missed my point.

Yup.... and until he learns (old dog new trick?) more than one team will employ the hackashaq. The guy is a professional and happens to be playing with one of the top 5 ft shooters in the league. Don't tell me the Big Cinderblock is too good to improve ?

it is his achilles and will render him useless in the waning moments of tight games unless he can execute.

I'm not so worried about the Hack-A-Shaq as much anymore, considering we do have a true backup C who seems to shoot close to 70% from the line. I'd much rather have him in there late game situations anyways, even without the experience, he's quicker laterally, can defend the pick and roll, and has much more energy to go after boards than Shaq. Put the pressure on him and I believe he's going to shine (obviously talking about Robin Lopez).
