That's better D than he played in Boston, so at least he's improved...

Aww Come on I've seen this a million times most common with Kobe Bryant it was a extremely quick play it happens. I'm telling you the guy is a solid defender if you look at his work so far in the preseason. He kind of has that Bruce Bowen elbow the guy in the back type thing (which I enjoy since he is with us).

This is far from making me think any less of Ricky espcially since this happens a lot in the NBA with these kinds of plays.

Ricky has never been known for his defense...mainly because his brain decides to snooze while he's on the court. He makes a lot of mental mistakes (like the 8 sec half court violation last night), and gets caught out of position on D. But in all honesty, we really need him to contribute until Gordon and Thornton get more experience and become better players. You take the good with the bad, and Ricky has lots of basketball skills.

No problem since he won't be guarding the Kevin Martin's of the league most nights

We just need Ricky to be solid on D that's all. If we play good team defense and have every player help out we should be fine. Plus we have Kaman and Camby in the paint :)
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

With every player you have to take the good with the bad. He's going to do some things that are going to aggravate us at times. He's also going to have a lot of opportunities for us to be glad that we have him. Offensively, he's just another productive piece that rounds out our wing rotation. In the regular season, if a man slips past the guard, he's going to have two big hungry dogs to deal with.

Davis can score the ball, but the Clippers may miss Q Ross on defense a lot this season. Mobley has also probably lost a step from were he was at 3 years ago.
