And then there was one...

The Clippers waived forward Curtis Sumpter today, trimming their roster down to 15. Former UCLA star Jelani McCoy is the only free agent remaining in camp. McCoy has gotten an extended look --and performed well -- because of injuries to Marcus Camby and Tim Thomas.

McCoy has been solid in preseason. I wouldn't be opposed to keeping him if he received a partially guaranteed contract.

According to Lisa Dillman of the the Times, Baron sprained his left ring finger in practice and will have to delay his Los Angeles debut. Marcus Camby (heel) and Tim Thomas (strained right groin) both missed Friday's practice and will not play against Toronto on Saturday. Al Thornton will be back in action this weekend.

Our roster is so stacked, we didn't expect any of these waiver wire guys to make it. Sounds like McCoy may be the 15th guy for the IR.
